  1. Howdy everybody,

Still workin' with A:M. I've got an entire half of my character built: Character Half

As you can see, there's a lot of CPs along the middle, so I was wondering how you get the Copy FLip Attach to work, because right now, it flips it up the y axis. Of course, I might also be clueless and this is used for something other than what I'm trying to use it for.

Any tips on how to make this HALF a character WHOLE?

  2. Well, I've been modeling with just one window, turning, panning, zooming, clicking, adding points, and I can't seem to make it do what it was before. =)

Anywho, you don't have to answer all my questions, Rodney! Hopefully, I'll get to a point where I can help answer questions. ;)

  3. Heya robcat,

Yeah, as seen above, I'm modeling with 2 views open at the same time. Would you suggest me using one modeling window, switching between the frames with the numpad?

  4. Just wanted to say sorry, if I'm buggin' everybody. :/ Kinda new to this 3D stuff. And that model in that screenshot is my first model, so don't laugh at me! Hehehe...

  5. In Rodney we trust. ;)

    Here's another pop quiz question...take a lookie...

    screenshot3.gif

When I'm adding splines with the Add tool, It goes wonky off to the side away, FAR away from my pointer. Sometimes it does this, sometimes it doesn't, and I can't pinpoint a condition or reason so far for this to occur. Anybody else had a similar problem?

  6. Howdy everybody,

I'm following along with a face modeling tutorial at colins-loft.net (GREAT tutorial, love it) and in Step 7 involves using hooks to keep the CP count down. How does one pull off a hook? As I understand, it's basically attatching one spline to another without using a control point.

    Edit: I'm using A:M 2004 v10.5R, FYI

    Thanks in advance!

  7. Howdy Paul,

This is the page that I got to, and the top link (one in purple) is the file that was downloaded. I have A:M 2004 with Orangutan on the CD.

Is this where I'm supposed to go?

  9. Ok, I fixed the "no curves" to the splines problem, somehow the display resolution was set way down again.

However, my 2004 version still says 2003. Is this common?

  10. Howdy everybody!

Well, Rodney, I went to the Hash.com website and downloaded the latest update, but for some reason, now there is NO curve with my splines and my software says Animation:Master 2003 in the title bar now! What did I do? *laughs* Boy, maybe I'll get the hang of this 3D stuff eventually.

    Help again? Please? *laughs*

  11. PAGE UP AND PAGE DOWN! That did it. I didn't know how to increase the resolution of the splines. Thanks for all the help! I'll check the site, and make sure that I've got verion 10.5R~! ;)

  12. Hi Rodney! Thanks for the welcome, makin' the new guys feel good. ;)

Here's a screenshot of a simple spline in the program. I've highlighted where I'm having trouble. I'm modeling straight into animation master. I'm using the most current version, A:M 2004, or 10.5(insert some letter here that I cannot remember. =))

  14. Howdy everybody. New to the boards, my name is Chad Welch, I own Cartoonimator Creations, a traditional animation studio breaking into 3d with Animation Master.

Goofing around with the program and getting used to it, I noticed that the splines between two control points is slightly curved, but crooked and pointed in the middle of the spline, making my organic characters look very polygonal.

I'm sure there's a setting for this in the program somewhere, but I can't seem to find it. Help me?

    Thanks,

    Chad Welch
