Have a look at this thread , there are some solutions (for 10.5, but it's similar to 11 )
Another idea, have you installed a program that create virtual drives ? During the beta period from v11 , this prevented under some circumstances the start from A:M .
I don't know , if this is gone in the final , between I have a dongle version . (it was a issue with the copyprotection that A:M cdversion used)

Funny, I don't have the same options
Your quality option is set to Final , Ganthofer use Shaded&Wireframe
That's the difference ....

I think this light you can find in the PWS as "Shortcut to Light1 (3)" .
The matchname for this light is displayed in the renderpanel.
A "Shortcut to Light13" would be displayed as Light131

It's sound like a problem with refreshing the viewport .
Refereshing the screen manualy (spacebar) after moving the model will solve this problem for you , but send this also as a problemreport to hash .

I know , this topic is long time ago , but at this weekend I had found time for this .
I think distributing evenly spaced points on sphere is a very interesting problem . So I have make a little plugin (only just for fun for me) that helps to solve this problem .
I have two calculation methods included, electrical repulse and closest point (with recursion, I have named this "Brute force" :-) in the plugin) .
There are some other methods, but some of them need to know the number of points, they should to distributet (solving with a springssystem as example)
You can found the plugin, example, links for deeper explanation on this site http://www.sgross.com/plugins/plugin12/index_e.html

Will netrender be able to automatically pick up the new images that were just rendered with out having a fit...or explode...or go on strike asking for better health benefits due to job stress?
Tested, yes , it works . You can get only a problem , if you use more than one renderslaves and the rendertime from the first job is extrem high , so that slave 1 render the last frame from the first job and a other slave is rendering the image in job 2 , who needs this image from job 1 , but in my mind, this is a academical problem ...
Here is a projectfile (including the Render Pool file), which I have tested your idea.

Another thing , what I remember for a starting problem from A:M under W98 , was that a system dll was missed . When I remind correct it was the msvcp60.dll (but it's long time ago). I have figured this out with Filemon from Sysinternals .

Try to start a:m with the -log option . This create a logfile (master.log) for the program start in the working directory.
This should look like this
******************************

I hope this will work with the CD-version also , i have testet it with the dongle version .

1 - use the primitive plugin
2 - select all cp's from the circle , then use from this group Transform->Translate and enter the needed values in the entryfields (values are relative)
3 - use the snap to grid button or make your own shortcut for this under Tools->Customize->Keyboard
4 - look at the technical reference or the
online help , this item is explained, better than I'm can do .

I have also some examples (with the projectfiles and movies) for the rigid body constraint on my homepage rigid body samples The page is in german , but the projectfiles are selfexplaining (i hope) . On my experience , when you use rigid body , you must spend most of your time to find the right timing . simulate, change the parameter a little bit , simulate and so one .... Kind Regards Steffen

Is there a web page that explains how to use the rendering in passes plug in?
Only in german at this time, using is simple, select a chor and start the plugin :-) .
But DON'T use the plugin with your original chor , it changes many things in the chor and the included models, lights etc. without a undo possibility !
The technology (for the first 4 options) is explained in the book Animation:Master 2002 A Complete Guide from David Rogers .

[quote name=
' date='Dec 1 2003, 08:48 PM]Rendering in passes is a plugin that is not yet finished and if i am not wrong will be free... It is free .
And which for a plugin is ever finished ? ....
It works for my needs.
But it is not not a plugin, where you hit a button and all is ready . You must know
what you do , and something (like pluginmaterials, darktree and so one) are
not changed with this plugin .

PI 3.0 with A:M
in (2003-2004)
Posted
On this weekend I had too much time and have realized such a plugin .
While the website is not finished yet (and the plugin not completly tested), you can download it here.
Short description
Put the plugin in the hxt-folder from your V10.5 directory (other version are not testet, it should be run also with v11)
Start the plugin with a selectet choreographie -> Plug-ins->Export->PI-Motion
Select the camera you want (the width/height , start/endframe are used from this camera, but you can overwrite this values)
Select the tracking object , here are 4 choices
- Modelpivot
the next 3 are only avaible if the tracking object is a model
- Raw model center (is calculatet from all modelcp's, no poses, boneactions and so one applied)
- Grouppivot (the pivot from the selected group)
- Bonestart (BonePosition -> Start from the selected bone)
Kind Regards
Steffen
Ps. I forgot this plugin is freeware, some comments, bugreports are welcome.
