Continuity issue @ 20s to 23s
The camera is approaching the bridge, but the reflection of the character is missing.

How long is the drive from Vancouver, Canada?
I might be there around that time. It's been so long since I last drove a car out there I don't even know what the speed limit is anymore.
Mappoint, aka local.live.com, says 5hrs 5 min 308 miles.
I am tempted myself. I still have 3 weeks of vacation unaccounted for...

I submitted a report last night and it went through just fine. It might be down now though. I would say to keep trying.
Thanks Leo. It is there and so is the orginal. I still get this error though. Strange

I have tried to submit a 13.0i bug report issue the tools at /Reports. I get pages of red text about something at MySql. Is it just me?

good to know the ati arse is still being kicked!
Now, now... As is nVidia's in my NLE. Different hardware for different goals.
-
As the former OS/hardware integrator for a large company, ATI is fine as is nVidia. There are issues with using OpenGL at times in A:M, but I don't believe they are completely related to video cards.
Now running ATI X200 and X800XT AIW (replaced 9600XT).
I cannot state this for A:M, but the latest review at CGTalk shows that nVidia Quadro still kicks CG butt.

I have seen this issue before using AVI. If you expand the AVI setting and click Set, you will find that it is set to Full Frame (Uncompressed). I hesitate to recommend an alternate setting as I edit video and have about 15-20 different codecs listed there and most won't be on your list.

It wasn't your intent, but I laughed. It is not a 'bad' walk cycle, it is a 'mince' walk cycle

Thanks!

I saw one of our other illustrious members do something like that and wondered how he did it. With your second grab, the light just came on! You rotoscoped the overlay area, posed around it, then output with alpha on, right? Then you just merge in in PS or such... Cool!
BTW, think they will recognize themselves with jellybean heads?

Wow, that was really nice. I wish you rendered the finished tree a little more so it's on the screen longer. Other than that, I thought it was great.
I forgot to add that. I was going to take the last frame and give it a 1 second hold. All of that is done with Alpha channel on, so I am not sure if it will overlay another piece or not yet. But will mix it with a title. I attached a jpeg still (alpha on, so saved with white background.)

Since it is the season... I did this quick and dirty to replace a Festival Of Trees (FOT) graphic that turns out not to be as original as it was shopped to them. My mom wants a video for the big FOT get together with all of the other FOT folks around the country. Still need titles and may shorten, length it. But in the meantime, my new NLE is in and now better supports WMV-HD output and SmartSound. So, Merry Christmas

I like the backdrop cloth too. Thanks for turning that light on.

If I get time (going on tour with a drum corps - may or may not have a lot of free time), I may try using something from the silk tree trade. Ficus sets could be cut and fixed to do a lot. Similar to the linked tutorial. The leaves were in sets of three 'glued' to a plastic connector. The connectors were then snapped onto the branch sets.
When I would make trees, I would cut the sets into three for end branches and use the whole set for some main connectors (also used real trees that I shaped before starting.) Plug and play, baby!
I attached a rough diagram of what they look like (sort of)
OT - Secret tricks, bonsai tools for hidden cuts, a Dremel with a drill bit, glue all the sets to the sockets (they don't fall off), and use decorative rocks.

Shaun, are you done yet, huh, huh, huh, done yet, huh?
Very cool and I do want to know how! Wow.

Whodathunk that the drum and bugle corps I shoot for (Spirit from JSU) would be using part of Wicked's music as part of the show, Spirit of Broadway, and I have been listening to "Oz" stuff since November...

OK, one of the videoguy of the Hash universe checking in. Don't forget to get some tripod DV shots of some production discussions and save some of the early stuff so we can create a viginette about making the movie.
I don't have too much free time to jet over to the left coast to help. But, I might be able to do a day or so. I just checked and I have 11 days left of vacation and need to save at least 5 or a couple more for around Xmas time... pending kitchen pass.
But, I can travel easily and do have a VX2100 and even a Glidecam (hand-held stablizer).

I think the mismatch is in blur. The mic does not have the same blur quality as the cross. It is better with the stone, but the mic cover needs to lose more sharpness to match. As an alternate, you could also change the mic cable to ivy or some other vine like grape vine?

I worry about you Colin. You are living too close to the edge of civilization. Move inside the perimeter, QUICK! I hear banjo music looking at your latest stuff Same thing with the martian, but the banjo riffs are done on a synthesizer.

Nice work.
I did just a couple of pillars as an experiment a while back...
Eugene
Those are good.
I am still working on the materials thing, but could not find one that worked in the short time I was spending. I wanted something that sort of fit the theme the band used for a DVD jacket. One of the neglected things about A:M that people miss (those that have yet to really discover it). I can do add-in stuff and even accent animation without much sweat to add to video.

Is it just me, or was anyone else waiting for the bull to come charging in from the left and make it more dynamic? Toro!

I posted, but having ISP DNS issues...
I think I see the issue. This would be powered armor, right? There is no powered bounce. It should take off like running on the moon, but with normal gravity down. It would be Boom - Boom - Boom, not dink-dink-dink. There would also be a hesitation to wait for the landing. That will also give him/her the "Space Marine" look instead of some old ground hog in armor.
A Gem Stone

OK, I have been away for a bit. I got out of doing video and started faceting gemstones in the basement (the computer is in the house - not so sure it is a trade up ). Well, never say never again. The new hobby started meeting the old one. So now I am working on a video about a faceters' meeting (Franklin Faceter's Frolic 3 if you must).
Back to old reliable for doing covers and titles, A:M.
My new hobby has a tool, GemCad for Windows, for doing design work on stones. And there are large libraries of stones around (including famous diamonds). I noticed that it will export dxf files. Yippy! Well, not too fast. The plug-in import is a little clunky. But if I import into ####### and then export from there as 3DS and import, I have something to work with. A bit of cleanup (like the font extruder sometimes requires) and presto. Attached is a 161 facet Portuguese cut model.
Oh, and if anyone has materials for ruby, emerald, or other gemstones, I would love to know. I have not yet figured out how to do refractive index, dispersion, and birefringence in a material. And if you are curious there, here is a table of common gems and there material properties.

Thanks
