you have to go the bones transistion - Z (i think)
I thought it would have been Y but I think it was Z
May depend on how the action is set up.

again I am not very good at this - it is just something that came to me and I think someone else can do something with this.
I made a quick web page of what I did and some other ideas to improve it.
the url is
hope this helps others

I don't know if anyone is interested or not but I just spent some time trying to find an easier way to make a lake/ocean look for waves
create a grid
create 2 bones that point straight up and are placed just below the water (does not matter where) in the middle is ok - one bone will rise while the other falls
now group small groups for each bone - dont use all the points and try to make the shapes irregular and leave one point between groups
now create an action and use the expressions to move bone1 up and down
Sin(GetTime())*1.5
on bone2 use
Cos(GetTime())*1.5
and bingo instant waves - I added some roughness to the surface 5% and scaled the roughness to 1500%
I know someone else can do more with this
Hope someone can use it.

I seem to have to remove the sound from the mov or avi files before they show up.

Just found another way to do it. Set up the first light to give you the shadow you want. Then if you add other lights into the choreography that you want - this will usally mess up the projected object because of the added light. Now drag these new lights to the model you want illuminated by them and add them to the objects light list and now it works.

I'm not the best person to answer this question but what i have done is render once with the object you are adding to the live action with flat shaded on and the shadows only option set. You will not see any shadow if you do the quick render but if you render out to a file - the object or character will not be there but the shadow will.
You will then have to render again with only the character and then join the 2 together in your editing software.
Hope this helps.

I tried to import an AVI file and my orange shirt was green in AM.
