thanks! i used basic AM materials for the color, for the damage marks, I used a black and white map in a projection map material and just set the bump and created another projection map with the same picture and set it as transparancy then another atrubute for the under lying color. thats it.
I just wish that the projection maps did not create those streching effects!

Sorry, I have been very busy with work and personal issues and have not had time to redo the textures on the helmet to make the damage more real. I have not forgot, I will get on it soon and have something posted.

I know, I just threw it up. I applied that map using a project map material. I forgot to recheck it after. I have been tied up with the FarStar project so I can not spend to much time on these things. I did it for fun and to break up things from working on one model for months at a time.

Here is a model I did a while ago and never got around to rendering it out. Thanks for who ever posted the keychain project, can't remember the name right now. It took 5 hours total for the model and about 657 patches. Comments welcome.

looks great! I tried my hand at one a couple of years ago when I was working with my old roommate to try and make a space marine short.

Very nice model!
The only thing that stands out to me are the rails on top of the cabin poling through your mesh on the picture that faces you.
But great job!

Here they are mapped. Still needs some map work and new photos taken. THese are my reference photos I used just to start mapping. again if the photo does not show up gohere and scroll down.

that is my next step, I just need to find time (an remember to get my tripod) to take pictures of my gun for the textures and map them. I had a few different lighting setups but I was trying to get a sense of them on display somewhere but it did not turn out like I wanted. I might place them on a dirt grond or something and see how that turns out.

if you happen to look around my web site please excuse it. I have not updated it in a very long time and has some old work up there and somethings fail to show up. I have been working on a project for about 2 years now and I try to devote all of my time to that and I can not post any of those images.
