most games (in general) made from movies are rip-offs, with the exception of 'The Chronicles of Riddick'. I was never a real big spidey fan, though, so i couldnt talk about the pc version, but my friends got it for Xbox (we're both HUGE xbox fans) and i didnt really think it was all that great to be honest.
I mean, sure you can go anywhere, but that only brings you further from your objectives in the game, although going higher IS always a plus. I guess as far as the gameplay, the pc version did kinda screw over the users. That's why I like Halo and Full Spectrum warrior for the Xbox more than any other game.
But when Halo 2 comes out....

here's the "hero" for a movie i'm working on called "The Movie to End All Movies"
I had some trouble naming the guy, so i just chose my favorite character from Street Fighter (Vega) and added an 'is' at the end, feel free to comment any way you like. I'm still in the process of tweaking it a bit.

yes, i believe it is possible to animate the growth of hair (in your case, leaves)

If you have V11, instead of manually modeling the leaves, you can use the Hair feature to create leaves for you, and all you'd have to model are the trunk and branches. you could also adjust the size of the leaves since the tree is growing (if i'm not mistaken) Hope this helped some.

and believe it or not, the penguin/duck/monster type thing DOES have an afro. I decided it needed hair(on his head) and wondered what kind. so i just modeled it after my own type of hair!

i decided to delete the "Shortcut to Ground" because i wanted to see how their feet moved and reacted, and i made every bone and Null from scratch
