I watched this one then went back and watched the others. It's gotten better. Keep going.

Camera Properties-->Type--> Orthagonal
Strictly speaking not exactly isometric but similar, and what people are usually looking for. Great for video game art with the original warcraft /Age of Empires feel
I believe only the Camera in "Objects" has this setting.

You can also build Actions using Lights as Action Objects.

I just had to do a 'Jack Bunny' pose - it was too irresistible.
Clever. People are so creative when they do this exercise.

Use a Klieg light.
You can also put a turbulence on it (to make it look like dust in the beam). Right-click on the light in the chor and there will be a lot of choices for kinds of turbulence but I don't know the differences between them?

... I can understand that no one would be interested in answering questions about such an old version so I'll work with the online help, etc.
I'll help answer your questions - just pony up and get current. It's the courteous thing to do, otherwise it seems as if you want me to work so that you can save a measley $50.

... I worried that the product was stagnating ...
You worry about the product "stagnating" but you use a 4 year old version!
... failing companies lock/censor forums so they can unload product. You worry about the company "failing" but you use a 4 year old version! And expect support!
Shameless.

you missed the point - that failing companies lock/censor forums so they can unload product.
No, you missed the point... Look up the word "irony."

I liked the discussions, even rants, because they often raise important issues that can lead to improvements in the software. When I saw the complaints were gone, I worried that the product was stagnating ...
The irony of this thread makes my brain numb.

Here is a nother test render. comments would be nice.
I assume you want suggestions on how to make your composition better and praise on how you've done so far.
Praise first:
The design is unique (at least to me). The modeling is smooth. I'd have to see a wireframe but the mesh looks efficient. The camera placement is dynamic.
Suggestion:
A lot of image space is taken up by the tail of the car - which is not lit. This draws your eye right-to-left rather than left-to-right like most western art should. Put the (white) Fill light on the right pointing toward the car's back then put the (blue) Rim light to the extreme left and top.
Encouragement:
Anybody you show this model to would be impressed with your effort. Now, you probably want to use a Sky dome and an asphalt roadway to make the environment enhance the beauty of the car. Make a movie of the car rotating, and maybe have the car doors opening for some dynamicism.

I've seen that when "soften" is turned on in Multipass rendering. Turn it off.

There is tremendous promise in these clips.
Hopefully, with the feedback you're getting here you can experiment with other camera angles & cuts on future clips.
