[Car headlights]

I am trying to build some headlights for a car.

 

But I cant seem to get it right.

I get some strange kind of "offset dublication" and a very sharp edge at the end of the cone.

Any ideas, how I can get rid of that?

 

Any good example of a headlight and backlight somebody could post?

 

And also, whatfor is the lightwindow that opens up, when clicking a light object in the PWS?

It only seems to stay all black for me.

 

Hello try using no pass and 9 passes that will clean it up

i used a rim light with volumetric on for the test

here are shots and setting

the blurred one is a 4 pass

here's a look at my wips

2 different projects same company

the space shots are for the POD

the POD is a commercial, personal oxygen device ( yes it's real)

 

 

 

the second is for a film, opening credits and plot development ( HASH will defiantly be in the end credits )

that one has particular challenges everything is kinda flat and black and white

I'm using colored lights for depth, dimension, mood ect ( posted another query about those lights )

 

anyway thoughts appreciated

Someone else here may be able to tell you more about this but such a simple model shouldn't be bogging down your machine. Can you tell us your system specs?

Hi have you tried repairing your permissions

sometimes that helps so try that and do a restart
