  1. It looked exactly like this. Only the little box was in my lower right hand corner. It had no box to shrink it or close it at all. It disappeared when i clicked outside the little window. My first thought was it was part of A:M and that i didn't know how to recreate it. I thought it was cool an a good way to tweak something around from a different view.

That looks like a preview-rendering box, if I am not wrong... but I am quite sure you now about that, right?

PS: You can always open a second window, go to "window" and tile it like you want. So you get different views...

Thats what it reminded me off. But i didn't hit any shortcut keys to bring it up. An my render icons aren't even on the screen. So its not like i could actually hit it. An not to mention that i didn't even see a render preview load at the bottom of the screen.

I know how to tile the windows to view models from different angles. I was more curious if this was another way of doing it. Or if i had a weird glitch in my program.

  3. Not really sure how this happen since i cant recreate it. I was modeling and decided i needed to zoom in on a part and then move it a bit to center it in the screen. Then i looked down at the picture for just a moment an all of a sudden i had another window open in A;M. It was like those T.V with the picture in picture. An all it had was the area i had scrolled in on. I am not to sure if i can do anything within that window because when i clicked outside it on my main model it vanished.

At the time i wasn't using my keyboard or any on screen functions. I was just using the mouse wheel. So is there a function like this in A;M i didn't know about ? IF so how do i recreate it ??

  4. Colin Freeman's tutorials for making his son Cooper are great tutorials for modelling

His eye modelling shows how to make a perfect sphere.

Also, his Uber Eye is fantastic - here's a link to a picture that shows what it does:

And searching, I found a new one on me - it's a finished model that has a flaming iris:

    And a cartoonly rigged eye:

Where the hell do you keep finding these things? :D Seriously i think Rodney best watch his back. Cause your becoming a turtrial Master...

  5. Sometimes having the control point at the wrong angle wont allow the icon to appear. You can be looking at a smooth nice 5 point patch, but when you rotate the image, you might notice a control point is actually inside the model..

  6. I voted the same as the people above me.

Some of the websites i been on have had something similar to the (My Own Production Journal), IT was more along the lines of a blog though. We could keep our local journeys written down as well as info. Not to mention add pictures an videos. This would be something nice for those who graduate from TaoA;M

Just a thought, im not in a good mood after A:M crashed most of tonight...

  7. Believe me the moment i opened the new package i was hooked. I previously had 2002 and it is better in every way. It is also very stable and the extras DVD is great!

    I want that extra DvD

  8. Sorry to jump in but can you have both installed at the same time

You sure can.. Once you fire up A.M on one computer you can take the disc out an fire it up on another machine.

  9. Lessons learned: Save as, save as and then save as ... Not just 'Control'+'S' (Save).

Also playing in the timeline to smooth out the transitions .. i.e. those horrible step jumps that came from nowhere.

LoL i learned the exact same lesson for this exercise as well. That was an awesome job. I especially loved the ending.. I give it a 10!.

That was great, Alan. I like the door fall. I'm learning from yours as I work on this one- the tip about saving would have saved me last night. I'm tyring not to rush through it too, as I need practice getting the timing / spacing right.

Yeah ive lost my work projects before. Its definatley note a fun thing to happen thats for sure. Also as i learned an as AJ said. This is a great project to get better knowledge of the timeline. Especially when you have a part moving when its not suppose to..
