How do you duplicate bones?

I swear I remember there was a way to duplicate bones for the other hand....

The MirrorBone plugin will do that.

If you just want to duplicate a bone hierarchy without mirroring it, [ctrl]-drag the parent bone in the container and release the mouse button somewhere else in the bone hierarchy.

Alas the control-drag doesn't seem to work on my mac.
