This is a sticking point for me as well.. i understand the concepts but not the details of texturing an object with images. for example i was trying to texture a sphere with a panoramic image i have and cant quite figure out how to make it do what i want. initially the sphere had 8 sections and each panel had the entire image applied to it as opposed to the image spherically wrapping around the sphere. I felt SO close to what i wanted to do, but just could not get there.
I am bigger in to texturing objects with images because i prefer to go into photoshop and make my textures. if there is some good tutorials for texturing or mapping images on objects, i would love to get the links as well... And if some on knows where such a image mapping Video tutorial is, that would even be better. Its one of those things where once the light bulb click on you say... OH, ok, now i get how to do that!.
