Amazing work!
-
WOW!Amazing so far! I can't wait to see the finished model. I just started reading the Captain America Reborn series. They are drawing him with a little bigger chest than what you have, but not much bigger. Keep up the great work!
-
Great work! I can hardly wait to see more!
-
Awesome models! Can't wait to see the finished battle!!
-
looks like you are off to a great start, I can't wait to see the finished model!
-
I like it - great model, and you have the cat's attitude down packed! Is there going to be a mouse or canary for him to spar wit?
-
Wow! Great work!
-
Wow, he's looking great! I can't wait to see the fight scene.
-
Very nice work. Reminds me of "The Crusher" from the old Bugs Bunny cartoons.
-
I did the same thing years ago, and everone told me the same thing, go through the tutorials first, they really will help you. and take your time, don't get let yourself get to frustrations edge. I been trying this for years and I see some people work and am just in awe, and don't be afraid to ask specific questions up here.

I´d bite my own ass if i´d rig my next character a week before the plugin is going to be released...
Would that be an action or a pose slider?
-
Great work! Can't wait to see some action poses.

They just keep getting better!!! Great work! So, will RubberGuy get a sparring partner soon? Maybe how to stop a killer robot?
-
Great work, I hope you keep up the series. Since he is rubber guy, have you thought about having him inflate his muscles by blowing in to his thumb before he strikes the bodybuilder poses?
-
Very nice, I can't wait to see the platypus that goes with it. Hope you don't mind, but it's now my desktop wallpaper. Something to make my hectic day a little more tranquil.
-
Aweseome! I can't wait to see it. Maybe stopping a runaway car, or breaking down a door. I can see some interesting possiblilties for Rubber Guy.
-
heheheh - Very nice. You gonna make a series of lessons?
-
Oh I forgot. The thing under his tie is a speaker grill, so when he talks I should be able to add some force coming out to flap his tie some.

Actually the liquid is a solid cylinder with a cloth top to simulate the sloshing. I couldn't figure out how to use v15 fluids for a still liquid simulation, it kept bubbling over . I did think of using liquid to simulate bubbles, coming up from the bottom of the brainstem. the brainstem will be kind of a prehensile tail used to scratch his "head" or cover his eyes.
I had pictured the same thing and even went with 4 legs to instead of the 6 I had planned initially, just to make him a little more unstable.
I'll keep posting updates here. Thanks for all the great ideas and encouragement. I've modeled several characters and havent really thought of anything too fun to do with them until now.
-
you may have answered this - at my age, I have a lot of brain farts of my own - is your character going to be humorous or menacing?
Definitely humorous. He's kind of a mad scientist that ended up becoming his own project. And working on a limited budget that's what he came up with, but he'll be mail ordering parts for an upgrade.

yeah I haven't applied a cloth material to the tie so it will change once I do, but I can stretch out some. My friend pointed that out too. I wanted to use the fluid emitter to fill the container but haven't had a chance to play with it
Thanks,
-
Thanks, he's meant to be kinda goofy and nerdy. I used a bump map. I used AM Painter and just made squiggles.

He just likes to wear a tie. And I thought of connecting him with some sort of cable, but I wanted to leave the spinal column dangling freely, so that from time to time he could use it like a prehensile tail to scratch his head or pound on the glass. Maybe a couple electrodes with different colored wires placed randomly on the brain?
