  1. I have started a WIP model of a my own Knight and I would like to add maybe some small engraving or mostly some dents in his armor. Are there any TUTS out there to show me how to do this? Thank you very much!
  2. I have vlc player. I will try that.
  3. not sure but I will find out tomorrow. you will notice others in the make it talk topic without sound as well.
  4. yes it works fine in program it is only the save file that does not have sound.
  5. Both should play sound but you have come accross one thing that the chor plays sound when rendered at MPEG4 but not soreno?? Can you save the .chr file and upload it here you might have to zip it first then we can try it too help find out what is going wrong?? I didn't save it but I am sure I can make another one. any simple chor with sound does same thing. I used a sound that came with A:M but if I decide to use one of my own do I use wav? mp3?
  6. Ok evidently I dont have a player that plays mpeg4 lol but the player I do have gave me an error saying it couldnt decode it but at the same time it did play the sound but not the video. So I am assuming mpeg4 does work with sound.
  7. I didn't know there was a way to make it NOT include sound. Sor3 shouldn't be a problem. Try MPEg4 just to see doing an mpeg4 now, will take awhile to render, I will report back.
  8. yup hmmmm then perhaps it is in the settings? I did just make an uncompressed animation and it did have sound, but if I do sorenson3 as a mov I get silence.
  9. so no sorenson3 then? ah ok that explains it then thank you!
  10. quote: thefreshestever: Ok I am there but which one does the sound? only one that looked close was stereo but that turned out to be the 3d glasses setting. Btw thanks!
  11. Awesome guys and gals thank you! I was getting all flustered LOL.
  12. Someone please answer these two question!!!! Question #1. I am far into the TAOA:M and have yet to be able to save a model as actor or model or as anything but .prj! How do I save it? I know it sounds like a stupid question but I am very frustrated LOL. Question #2. after doing "Make it Talk" my work was great but when I save it to .mov it has no sound. I noticed many peoples had no sound either. what file type or how do I save it with sound? Thanks a million to any who answer these.
  13. thanks! The drag and drop seems to have worked I am saying if I make a good walk cycle, is it possible to add it to my actions library?
  14. I plan to. Just thought I could find out my actions question first. Sorry.
  15. now trying the basic tutorial included and I dont have any pose sliders?????? EDIT: nevermind I found em.
  16. Ok to check out the program I bought a subscription. First thing I tried to do was add some actions I got off eggdrops and add them to my library but program does not seem to recognize them. did I do something wrong or is subscription limited to only 3 actions? I put them in the correct folder. also if I create my own actions can I save that to actions? please be kind as this is my first opening of the program and my first questions. forgive me if I seem stupid at the moment. I will get better.
  17. Thanks for clearing up the confusion
  18. You get the Program (AM 15) for $50.00 the only catch is its for one year and it only works on one computer which is a pain if you need to render on multiple machines. Alternatively if you purchase the program for $300.00, you get a CD that lasts for ever and you can install it on multiple computers which can speed up render times significantly. So by buying the full version for $300 I do not need subscription?
  19. What exactly does "Subscription" do? I see it for sale but what does it provide? It really does not explain anything.
  20. Thank you all! I am probably going to purchase it within the next 2 weeks. And trust me, I will be using all advice given. I was fairly good at modeling polys. Not great but I could do it. I also know the benefits of great texturing. Textures can be magical at times in making a simple model look complex. Again Thanks!
  21. I have bookmarked your site and will look at it all, Thank you.
