Darknut Posted August 8, 2005 Share Posted August 8, 2005 I am a fairly new AM user (bought 2004 version) my problem is the final render looks "plastic" to me ...... any suggestions? trajcedrv Posted August 8, 2005 Share Posted August 8, 2005 First, obvious and simple answer that popped into mind: - star is behind the planet... so, planet should be mostly in shadow and only have one rim of light at the edge... ...or, The Enterprise has one hell of the headlights!!! jon Posted August 8, 2005 Share Posted August 8, 2005 i'd concentrate on the the atmosphere layer... do i see a faint fractal combiner there? make it a little less transparent, and - as noted - almost all of that planet would be unlit by the star/sun. i caution against lens flairs as a rule, but i think it helps the whole retro feel of the ol' ncc 1701. -jon Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
