  1. Recent 8.5->10.5 convert, I rendered an animation with motion blur, the quality of the mo-blur was decent, but I wanted more quality. In 8.5, you could oversample 200% with good results and only double render time. In 10.5, this has been replaced by multipass, I assume. With all the settings the same, adding a 3x multipass, I had pixel artifacts, strobing(not blur) and more than 300% render time increase. Not so good, actually had lower render quality.

Is there a good setting for better mo-blur without a serious time hit?

  2. Does anyone have the car/bones tutorial? It could make the wheels follow the path the car is on. Any suggestions on how to make the wheels spin relative to the ground? I think it has something to do with euler and I am unfamiliar with that function.

    Thanks in advance

  3. AM 10.5i, Mac OS9 and X, Imac 800mhz 500gb,

I've come across"locked" bias handles that are not locked but don't appear to move when pulled, intermittantly. This is followed by several attempts to "move" them. Then it crashes. I have discovered they really move, but the change isn't visible until the space bar is pressed. Failure to press the space bar results in a crash. Over and over. I've been replacing unnecessary hooks in a 12000+ patch model created in AM8.5. I haven't made anything from scratch complex enough to replicate the crashes. They occur every two minutes or so. Saving this file takes 40 seconds (an improvement from AM8.5's 2 minutes), so you can guess my productivity, frustration, and repeat performances of the same task until I save and wait.

Is there an appropriate place for bug reports in this forum? Does this happen to any other Mac users with complex models?

  4. Works just like another forum I am familiar with. If you could spread the word and get everyone on this, there would be no need for the clunky (but invaluable) email list. But until a large majority use this, we'll need to cross post. Or maybe they'll figure a way to have messages posted here crosspost to the mailing list, but I doubt it.
