  1. Hey Matt,

    I thin David pretty much covered things. Backgrounds were relatively low resolution geometry with painstakingly color- and perspective-corrected image maps. Actually it was more contrast-correction than color, since it was in B&W. Lee Lanier is a genius with that stuff. To continue my 'mediahoing,' there are production notes and behind the scenes info on the DVD explaining the process (I think!). Only $14.95! :D

    Hopefully I'll catch "Marboxian" one of these days. Is it submitted to other animation fests?

  2. Just like to point out that SFX usually stands for SPECIAL EFFECTS. At least that's how it's been explained to me by people in the movie industry! :)

    So, Sound Special Effects would make some sense.....

    Check out Screenwriting.info

    SFX = sound effects

    SFX tells the sound people an effect is needed.

    SFX: The BLAST of a train whistle

    SPFX = special effects

    SPFX announces that a special effect is necessary (one that might not require the use of CGI).

    SPFX: A beam of light illuminates Frankie's face. His features slowly melt like a wax figure.
