I reinstalled, turned off any desktop effects, and still will not open program, because it says it cannot find the CD. You said something about a fix on this forum? I searched, but couldn't find it.
I still haven't got 14c working on my Vista machine. Only 14a works. My husband got a new Vista machine (no emulation software for sure) and 14a doesn't even work...always asks for the CD. I know Steve had a look at some of my log files, but nothing was ever figured out. I don't recall a solution on the forum either. Hope you figure it out...and let us know! Maybe contact Steve directly or enter a problem report.

I purchased these a little while ago. I am slowly working through them. I really like his style.

I just have a laptop at this time, but we are to get our desktop back next week and we will be getting a new computer in a month or so, so I can do some rendering. My SVN is pretty much up to dat (at least it will be by the end of tonight) , so let me know what you need done.

Hi, Paula - the reason for this is because of Constraints - they are under Tin Owl > Actions > Position2 > Model Bone > Translate to and Orient Like. When I delete these, the relationship ceases to exist.
However, I do not know why those Constraints were put there in the first place. Is that one of your Choreograph Actions? Or was it already there? They may be there for another reason and just accidentally pointing to Tin Girl's head control.
Thanks for your help Caroline. I thought I had tried deleting that constraint, but I guess not. It was the choreography that was provided, so I don't know if it was suppose to serve a purpose. Oh well, I'll continue working and see how it goes. Thanks again.

Hello,
I am trying to work on scene 03_05_10 and there seems to be a problem the the scene some how. It appears that when Tin Girl's head is moved Tin Owl also moves. I haven't been able to find the relationship causing this problem. Could some one who is familiar with the rig and setup please have a look at it? The latest is in svn. Please find attached an example of the problem. Thanks!

Hi Ivan,
Yes, AM 2007 is the current release which will give you version 13.0 and 14.0 with updates until the end of 2007. You are probably best off to purchase it from the hash site to ensure this is the version you are getting.

Thanks for the input guys. I grew up with chickens and that's what they did when they were in a flap, so it seemed to fit. I can fix the eyes Ken. I'm terrible at facial animation, so I appreciate any help there. Thanks.

I've fixed and uploaded it. You had moved the mouth controls in the chor action. As they weren't doing much, I just deleted them and now they aren't over-riding your mouth moves in the dialogue action. Maybe you could compress the mov take too as it's 8mb on the svn. Cheers.
Thanks Ken. That was fast. I'll have a look at the fix.

Here is my first attempt at this scene after over a month of no computer and then fighting with Vista. I had a problem with the lip sync. Something in the Choreography is changing the original dialogue action such that the lip sync doesn't come through very well. I tried to find the problem, but was unsuccessful. I was hoping someone could have a look at it. I have uploaded it to SVN. Thanks!
Paula
P.S. I uploaded a version with no background due to size, but the full movie is in svn.

Thanks Mark! I'm looking forward to participating!

Thanks for your replies guys.
The computer is only 3 mo old, so it should be fine. I can do all the clean up, but there's tones of space and the harddisk shouldn't be to fragmented yet. When I look at the CPU usage it is at 99 for Master.exe.
The picture comes up looking pretty strange (see attached image).

I have been trying to get our desktop up and running with AM (not that I get on much with 2 kids and a husband fighting for it). It is so slow its unusable when I try and bring up my scene. It is a 2.2 GHz eMachine with an ADM Athlon 64 Processor. 1.5 GB of Ram and a Radeon x1600 with 512 MB memory. It is running on WinXP sp2. To me it seems like a resonable computer. My laptop only had 1 GB memory with 256 MB Radeon X700 and it could run the scene fine.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can try. I've tried D3D and OpenGL. Maybe there is something wrong with the scene. Can anyone open 2_03_11?
Thanks. I'm looking forward to getting back to work.

My computer crapped out on me again. Right now I'm using my very slow, old pc which doesn't work well with A:M anymore. I don't have enough money right now to get it fixed for at least two weeks, maybe longer.
I haven't figured out how to access my e-mail through the internet yet, so if anyone has sent me anything I'm hoping I'll figure it out soon.
I'm hoping to be back as soon as possible. So don't count me out. I'll be back!
I'm sorry for the inconvenience this is going to cause. I'll make it up to you when I get it fixed.
Thanks everyone.
I feel your pain Jeff. My computer died on me too. I've been lost without it and it will be a couple weeks before I get it back, provided it can actually be fixed. If it can't be fixed, who knows what I'll do....

Here is my first take on 2_03_11. Please critique. I need all the help I can get!Paula
Thanks for the feedback guys. I agree it's pretty boring...but its all I can do to make them move normally...let alone do something interesting! I will work on a little more excitement in the other 2 and try to get some hips moving.

Are the characters going to be in this shot?
Cheers
No they are indicated as off screen.

I thought this was going to be an easy one...but it turned out to be very difficult. I am still struggling with it. I've only just started the blocking, and haven't finished it yet. Please let me know if I am headed in the right direction. Thanks.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I did a few more tweaks based on your suggestions. Hope it looks better. I'm really not good at this lip synch/facial expression stuff.

Thanks for the comments guys. I tried to incorporate some of your suggestions into my revisions. Here it is.

A:M in Vista
in (2008)

It was actually Will Pickering. He looked at a log file for me and confirmed that there was no emulation software running and he couldn't see anything that should have caused a problem. Unfortunately the AM Report I submitted is still open and the issue has not been resolved. Vista sucks for sure!
