What codec does #5 use? I can hear the audio (and what audio it is!) but neither Quicktime nor VideoLAN Client can understand the video.
And man, I wish I could see #11, it looks really cool! Time to un-mothball the old Virtual PC, I guess.

I do have a question about upgrading. I can upgrade now to 2003 but I
believe 2004 is currently in beta. What are the new features between 2002
and 2003? What are the new ( anticipated) features between 2003 and 2004?
I'm asking so that I can make an informed decision on upgrading now or
waiting a few months. (There are no new things I NEED in AM I can think of;
I just imagine that an upgrade once every while is fun spoiling myself.)

In my humble opinion, if you're still using 9.5x, the work you save in lack o' cr*shes will more than make up for the money spent upgrading, even at this late date.
That said, traditionally the new subscription has gone on sale in January, so if you want the most bang for your buck, wait until then.
I'm not a Hash employee, of course; for more definite info, contact steve@hash.com.

P.S. From my own perspective: I only upgraded two months ago, so I spent $99 for a half-year. I haven't regretted it for one second.
And P.P.S. since rereading your post, I realized I didn't actually, y'know, ANSWER your question. Here's a page which talks about the new features:

Oy vey, what did I start?

Just to toot our own horn a bit, the new winner of the Parents' Choice Gold Award for a children's instructional video was just awarded to Slim Goodbody's "Life Skills 101." All the character animation, comprising about 70 percent of the content, was done by Anzovin Studio in A:M.
Hot damn! Well done, you guys!

Hey gang,
Is there a simple way to slow down a chorography action? I've got=
a
little character who's action is pretty good but it just happens=
to
fast. I did the animating in the chor and I used the "straight=
ahead"
animating approach so unfortunately it's not as simple as=
dragging
keyframes apart. Is there a way to just stretch his whole action?=
So
that it takes say 260 frames instead of 180?
Thanks for any help,
-Ethan
Simple answer: Move Frames in the edit menu.
Complex answer: Make sure you have every kind of keyframe button (rotate, translate, pose, etc.) pressed down that you want to affect your move frames operation. Then, have at it. You can choose to scale by percentage or exact time.

So, who do I have to bribe to become an "Advanced Member"?
And what will that get me?
"Don't tell anyone, Zach, but Randy slipped me the code for the 'Dragon Button'... advanced members only!"
(And you just know it's OS X native.)
And what comes after "Advanced"? Superhuman? Jedi? Navone?
Perspiring minds want to know.

This URL was broken in forum-land...
The second one looked good, though. How dense was the geometry you used for the water plane?

Yes, wondering about this as well...

Hi,
Here's a little old film from 2000, for those of you that haven't seen it.
http://www.ragtag.net/films/movies/flowerHi.mov (1.9mb QT-Sorensen).
That was frippin' fantastic.
I don't know if it's a goal to which you aspire, but I wouldn't have been able to tell it was rendered by a computer.
Nice work.

I'm sorry, but it has to be said: Jeff Paries Planet Melt is an excellent name for a band.
