  1. dunno what caused the grid. it was a preview render (multipass, 1pass) though, which is prolly the cause

     

    aaanyway

     

    gave it a few big bumps on the side there and inreased the displacement % . darkness prolly has to do with the toon shader part (custom one), and then again shadow darkness is set to 80%....

  2. so...after discussion various cloud making methods for ages, i sat down for...4hours or so and ended up with these things

    thats 23 planes >_<, all with displacement maps. first one look pretty good, second attempt looks..dunno whats going on there. might be the position of the light..might have something to do with the toon shader (i just dont like normal render >_< ). thing took 26min to render so its kinda hard to figure out stuff like that..

     

    ill try to render a small vid of it overnight.....hopefully

  3. i just cleaned up all my stuff...sigh. ill go looking for it though...sevenar prolly has it. the halo2 master chief model is out now though, think im gunna look into that...would do better for modeling refrence (as it looks 10x sweeter ^^ )

     

    edit - after an hour or so of searching..found nothing. so ill have to go extract the thing from halo2 myself (sigh...).. so ill have it done (hopefully..if nothing goes wrong) tomorrow...sometime.

  5. agree that the warp seems way too fast.

     

    and i imagine that crash would have killed that guy, might have him push a button on his arm to expand some sort of mini force field around him to dampen the impact..or something.

  6. bahaha, we got English ^^. ive never gotten anything below a 5 and usualy get 6 in all english tests.

     

    being half american is great...^^

     

    if i ended up with math or norwegian i`d prolly end up with a 4, suck at both of em

    back on topic: well somewhere during the rendering of the 7th frame A:M vanished from my screen in the usual crash fashion. it just so happens that it would be hitting its first surface in that frame...guessing its related.

  7. well its on, but only 1 pass.

     

    running for 16hours..still no change. seriously dont think this is going to finish. progressive on screen render would have finished a full frame by now, so ill have to conclude that something is seriuosly wrong here..

     

    ....ill stop it at 20hours or so...
