2. V7 was AM99

Gonna have to chat with Ken Baer (Hash Inc historian and programmer extraordinaire) to see if we can get the subscription CD images posted online for all to reminisce about.

    Rodney

well i was thinking in the same line.

but the funny thing is that i have also got V3 and that came on 5 3 1/2 inch floppys (win 95/NT version) plus a cd with the tutorials and models and not to forget the dredded doggle (had to attach that to your serial port for AM to run (early copyright protection if i remember) then the last item was a vhs video cassette with randy croucher showing how to use AM and had some animations as well. and that was 1996 if my memory is correct.

  3. *Definition: TAoAM. The Art of Animation:Master; the manual that ships with Animation:Master software containing exercises that help you animate, model and direct your creations.

    How's that sound?

    Rodney

Oh darn, you mean that square binded paper thingy. (V7 book here)

well there you go, i guess it does help somewhere along the line to read the manual :P

  4. wow that would be cool.

just upgraded to windoz xp so i can get the latest Version since V7.1 is a little far behind for doing some of the latest tutorials.

by the way am i too late so when is the finnal day?

    john

    PS: what is TAoAM

  5. http://www.smcars.net/

found this forum the other day, was looking for blueprints.

then i started to get deeper in the forum and man how sweet some of the models these guys are doing.

tho this forum is based on other software, havent found any one usin A.M yet, but you cannt help but drool at there master pieces.

and as for textures, one had a candy glitter that was like looking at the real thing.

so just thought ide drop that site if people are looking for blue prints of cars.

  6. this is my wip nothing much to realy see.

    this is a compound bow

just basicly formed up the shape, will have to edit the mesh later.

due to all the holes in the riser (frame) there will be a lot of work to make it more organic since thee not flat like this.

    [attachmentid=11036]

  7. wow that is very nice.

tho i would only give it 9/10 for it.

one small detail you had left out tho.

the BIEN thats the round disc like thing that stop your hands from sliding up the blade.

would have been a 10/10 if there was some form of design to it

tho there are plain round one.

but apart from that you have done a great job.

  8. damn i wish i had broadband.

tho i use 56k dialup, these are the only times where i think it is worth the wait in downloading.

    30 minutes to wait

im so looking forward to viewing these, i was just thinking to my self a few hours ago, when the next installment was coming :)

its 4am in the land of OZ (Aussie Aussie Aussie oi oi oi) time for sleep while downloading.

  9. Can't you convert it to grayscale, adjust the levels and then convert it back to rgb to paint the other layers?

    Jim

Well slap me around with a wet fish

i was at fault, user error, game over

yes change it to grey scale and then adjust the layers then you can use colors on a new layer.

  10. tho im a paint shop pro user it doesn't take much to adjust to your tut.

one thing i did notice between PSP and PS and that is when you change the level to make the wire frame into a black and white image you slide the image/adjustment/level, where as in PSP its Colors/adjustment/levels and this is where i have found a slight problem.

you see when i slide the input level highlight to the left, i don't get a full black and white image.

im still left with a slight teal color background with the grid lines.

so if any one out there using PSP know how to turn it black and white with out loosing the 24bit color setting please tell me, thanx

if you convert the image to grey scale you can't use color on the other layers.

i've only dabbled in PSP so im not real familiar on how to get around this situation.

  11. Warning: I am not a professional voice over guy and I'm not good at talking and working at the same time. :) Thus the less-than-good quality of the tutorials. I have settled for this level of quality because I would never get them done otherwise.

    OOHHH WOW

im running a p200 (yes a door stop/paper weight)

and i have always had trouble using QTime on my system.

i kept reading about your tuts on the list and took the off chance and reinstalled Qtime just to see what all the chat was about, to my suprise running the tuts in QTime was crystal clear with minimal lag in the frame rate, so what ever compression and codecs your using please stick to them :D

tho im a paint shop pro user it doesn't take much to adjust to your tut.

i too have learnt several things just bye watching them.

    hail JT :D

  12.
edit: wow- it's rather, uh... low resolution.  Looks like it had a lot of aimated stuff going on.  Too bad there's no better version available.
your not wrong there, i would love to see a higher res version, oh by the way what sound codex was used since windoz player couldn't download any sound codex for the animation. :(

  13. any chance of seeing an MPG version.

and some full bodied pics in some betterlighting.

i was modeling Priss in her suit, but i think ill forget about it now. :(

  14. QT  , dont know why every one seems to think that QT is the normal player to use, ive had QT and didnt like it, plus it sucks up the resources of the puter.

i for one would only view animations in the MPG format, i dont mind waiting minute/hours to download a MPG file, cause in the end MPGs run faster on my system than QT.

  15. can we post images in here, i know the rules are the same as the listmail, but this would be a great place to show of your work, not having to upload it to your site first.

i would think that a small image size at or below 640x480 would be the way to go  , for us 56k dial ups we dont like to wait all day for every pic to load up.

thats my two bits, now i look forward to reading and not seeing mime/html formats
