The Squetch Rig relies on Expressions for the actual squetching of the individual bones and Steve's Hand Gizmo, so the earliest version of AM that is able to use it is v11.1
so is there any other rigging style that i as or almost effective as sqetch that i can use in AM: 2004?...please say "yes" i'm desperate here...

i'm sorry...maybie i wasn't that specific...i mean i need a tutorial on how to BUILD a squetch rig...

does anyone know where i can find some (or at least one) tutorial(s) online about how to squetch rig a model in AM: 2004?

kenH, i did EXACTLY that, and nothing happened...no spline, no nothing.

acctually, you CAN import a .3ds model as a "model" instead of a "prop"....right clikck on "objects", scroll down to plug-ins (it should be the second-to-the-last item in the list), and when that menu pops up, scroll to import, and when THAT menu pops up, scroll to "3D Studio (Autodesk Ltd.) *.3ds", and voila!...

robcat2075,
i imported the .3ds file as a MODEL, not a prop. so now i REALLY don't know what's going on! (the objects icon in the PWS is a "thom".)
zandoriastudios,
yes, i am in the modeling window.

i've tried closing AM and restarting it, and that did not work. however, i still havent tried the second thing you suggested as of yet...i'm going to boot-up my laptop give it a shot right now...

ok...so i imported a .3ds model into AM: 2004. and it worked out successfully, but when i tried to build a different model from within AM: 2004 after importing the .3ds model, NONE of the modeling tools within AM worked! every time i would click on the spline tool to use it, the 'modeling' button in the tool bar at the top of the screen turns gray, and i can't even see the spline that i am creating! whats going on?!...
