  1. All my new models are organized in maps and these maps can't be copied to the library pane, but the A:M Library Manager will do and works great. However I do'nt see the jpg images of these models in the library pane. Manual assigning all these images in the file properties costs a lot of time. How can I do that in one step.

  2. I work with A:M 2005 version 11.1A and I did exercise 5 "Take a Walk" of the Manual 2003.

Go to frame “00:00:00.” Pick [Edit][Copy Keyframe]. At frame “00:00:20,” pick [Edit][Paste Mirrored]. Repeat for frame 00:00:05 to 00:00:25, 00:00:10 to 00:01:00, and 00:00:15 to 00:01:05. Lastly copy frame “00:00:00” and do a normal paste [Edit][Paste Keyframe] at frame “00:01:10” to complete the walk cycle.

When I do this exercise only a part of the keyframes are copied and the model does not move at all from 00:00:20. When I touch the new points in the Timeline with the cursor, I see at ALL these new points Time=00.20 (or another time), Active=ON, IgnoreFog=OFF in stead of the parameters of the copied points.

  3. Is the door just one patch thick? If so, then it needs to be extruded to give it thickness.

    Problem solved.

Under Objects AND Shortcuts the following settings of the door changed

    Front Projection Target OFF

    Flat Shaded OFF

    Cast Reflections ON

    Cast Shadows ON

    Recieve Shadows ON

Now shadow with or without Klieg light.

    THANKS ALL

  4. What you want to look at is the shadow option in the kleig light. Changing that will give different results when combined with the options you posted....z-buffer and raytraced.

You have to change the light to a kleig in the properties of the light under the main Models folder. It's not there on the shortcuts.

Also with Kleig light the same results.

NO SHADOW on the shaded object.

Cast shadows was set to ON

  5. I want get the shadow of a model onto the door. Background is a rotoscoop. I set for the door:

    Front Projection Target ON

    Flat shadows ON

    Recieve shadows ON

The result is a transparent door with shadow.

    Front Projection Target OFF

    Flat shadows ON

    Recieve shadows ON

The result is a solid door without shadow.

Al other tryouts with other settings gives no result.

What to do. A Klieg light ? but how do I get the Klieg light.

  6. Shadowing on to other objects (the ground) can only be seen when rendered. What exactly do you mean?

Oke, I thought that shadows on the ground also could be seen in the choreorgraphy window.

What must I do when I want to see the shadow on a rotoscope background. Setting the Active parameter of the Ground to OFF does not help (no shadow at all).

  7. When I render my project, there is a shadow of my model on the ground but I want to set the shadow properly in the choreography window. I have done this before but I can't reproduce it. What are the parametersettings to do this.

  8. When I try to work with sound, AM 10.5 crashes every time. I have made a sound file (wav) and have put this file in the sound library. When I, according exercice 7 "Can you say that", select the dope sheet, type the sound text in the box and klick OK, the dictionary does his work properly and all boxes are grey. As soon as I drag the frame marker in the timeline window, AM crashes directly or after some dragging.

WHAT MAY BE THE CAUSE ?
