Hi i'm learning to program with GLUT, so i'm making a small 3D engine using Open GL. Instead of importing 3DS files (which there are tutorials ALL OVER the net) i'd like to have it import MDL files. Is there any documentation online where Hash has given specifications on exactly how their format is structured? I kind of understand it looking it over, but i'm not 100% sure.

NO MFC SUPPORT! counts me out. I hate the new Windows Forms, makes me think i'm a VB programmer or something i must be to used to MFC.

how much programming knowledge do your students have? In my college courses before they taught us the basics of DirectX programming to make our own engine we were using the torque engine. Its not free, but you can do a lot with it.

Thats really intresting consiering I just started working toward a degree in game software development. Apparently as a programmer just starting out i'll be making roughly $12k more a year then i would as an animator. Makes me glad i learned how to program C++ before i discovered A:M
