  1. I have to say I liked the first one better. Not just because of the amount of action but the character felt more in the scene. Very strong pose on the character and I like the camera work but I think you missed out on not having more reflections on him. With how fast the clouds were moving I would have liked to have seen this reflected in him. The clouds were a great idea and certainly went part way to conveying the mood you were after. The lighting fell short of helping you totally accomplish this because it was too consistent both at the main scene and well. With the addition of the birds and magic I think a darker lighting in the well scene really would have added to the effect you were going for.One question I had was when you were doing a close up pan of the mountains in the original shot why wouldn't you have used the modeled mountain from the end of the first animation? I think the choice of music is excellent and helps keep the mood of the piece. Overall, I think with a bit of tweaking you could bring this to the level of the first spot.

  2. Maybe we could stick to critiqueing the animation, which I think is very stiff and unimaginative. Even if you don't agree with Bruce's choice of subject matter or way he chose to portray it doesn't free speech give him the right to air it? Vern, you if anyone should fight for someone's rights to say what they want. You have a whole section of the forums dedicated to your thoughts and musing, which as far as I can tell have little to do with 3d or animation.

  3. ok i'll take a stab.1st take a breath this isn't surgery lol. the way i understand it if you dont put a keyframe for every bone you plan on moving the program starts the movement from the last set keyframe. so, basically you have to set a keyframe to tell the bone to hold still. so at frame 0 go and wiggle each bone you intend to use, this will set a keyframe for them. now if you want the arm to rise up at frame 10 go to say frame 7 and wiggle them again.then at frame 10 position the arm the way you want it. this way you've told the bone to hold still until frame 7 then take 3 frames to move into position.

  4. HAVE YOU DONE A SEARCH OF THE POSTS HERE ON THE FORUMS TO FIND THE INFO NEEDED? (sorry,my caps lock was on) have you laid out what you're doing in a post so others can help you troubleshoot the problem? the project has been going on for sometime and others have been able to hook up,they've figured it out maybe they can help.you'll find the people here very helpful as long as you have some COURTESY and PATIENCE! I'm sure your enthusiasm will be appreciated but I noticed from your posts you've joined, did the one TAOA:m exercise and immediately started with the problems. my advice, step back take a breath it'll all work out. and one last request, cool it with the caps
