When I apply two bones to a mesh setting cp's bone weight and I bend or rotate one of the bones, the model getting thinner.
I am trying to use bone weight function to my model's joint like knees and elbows so I want it to keep the same thickness.
I know I can do it using fan bones with constraints, but I want to do it with bone weight because I want use my model in my 3D games and so I want my models to be simple as much as possible.
Does anyone can advise me how I avoid my model getting thinner with bone weights?
Thanks,

Dennis,
How would you go about taking a scene in AM and exporting it into something like a 3D viewer where people can take a virtual tour of your set while the animation is playing?
I know there are similar things out there on the net, but I just don't know how to get it from AM to those other formats.
Regards,
Eugene
Hi,Gene.
Without some programing, what you want to do is not possible, I guess.
But only with a little studying and money, it is possible. I use AM with AMXtex(.x format exporter) and DarkBasic and they work really fantastic! (though they are not free software, but they worth for the price) With these softwares, you should be able to get closer what you want to do.

This sounds SDK is now accessible to bone weight...
If it is true, please update AMXtex for exporting bone weighted .x model!
With that function, AMXtex would be a perfect tool for me. (I believe it is not only for me.)
How I can avoid a model getting thinner with weighted bones?

itsjustme,
Thank you for your advise.
Your lecture is filled with good explanation. Now I completely understand how AM's bone&cp weight behaves and I need to do some trick to use a model for my 3D games when I get it exported from AM.
Thank you very much!
