  1. Hey!... I was checking again all the comments (from this and my previous topic) to start tweaking the animation again and I went a see the websites of those who have a link to them and....

Wow! Great cartoony anticipation and action. Well done. Show us more!
Sir... I'm honored to have a post like that from you!... Your work is awsome!... I was wandering who made that model that is on your homepage when I saw it on the new A:M ad for SIGGRAPH... Great, great stuff!

WoW nice animation you have there!

Of course you know I have saw the animation you posted... Very funny animation you have there. I couldn't see your animations on your website though.

you should leave another beat before he waves

True... I will check on that, Thanks

  2. :D:D Very funny!!!!

As I told you before, great timing. I laughed a lot with the new additions, I wasn't expecting them (I guess I didn't read)...

I like a lot when he is walking backwards on his back. Good acting!

  3. hey...

Thanks for the comments. It encourages me to keep working on it. I've been very busy this days, but as soon as I can I will continue the short.

    About my demo:

I use Animation Master for my personal character animation projets as well as for my projects as a freelancer. On the other hand, as a contractor on some companies or as an employ, I have had to use other applications that I don't know if I can mention on this forum, so, not all the animations on that demo where done in Animation Master.

Wich ones were done in A:M?....

-The white HSE character (that almost always have a red background)

    -the birds

-the singing outlet over live footage

    -the Hershey kiss

    -the "Malta Morena" lids

    -the bee

-the flat white people walking on a red flat mall

On my website, you can find other stuff done in Animation Master too....

If you go to www.roundbox.net, and go to the link "Old stuff":

    -the basketball nest

    -the robot

    -the "Soberana" lid

    -the caterpillar

(and other that are on the demo)

I have been playing around with A:M since version 4, and I have never try to put my website on the hash users link because it has projects done on different applications. I would like to, but I don't think they would allow it :(

  4. Wow, very nice explanation that last one!.

I just wanted to add one more thing that makes the relationships so powerful, and hopefully I will not confuse anybody with my pour English ;) ....

With the relationships you can use whatever you want to control anything on the model. For example, instead of creating a pose slider you can use the translation, the rotation, the scale (anything) of a bone to control the expressions of a face, the color of the model, the scale of another bone..... anything! :D

To do this, Instead of right clicking on the model and creating a pose, you can right click on, let say, the "x translation" of a bone and create a relationship. That will open that temporary action window mentioned on the previews explanation, and whatever you do in that window will be controlled by de "x translation value" of the first bone. So now, whenever you change the x value on that bone, you will control all that you did on that relationship window (or temporary action window).

It is just the same as the pose slider but it brings another dimension to the tool.

I'll give you a very simple example:

if you have a door that is going to open outomaticlly every time a character comes close to it, you can use the position of that character to open and close the door automatically without having to animate this every time.

I really like this tool... Other applications have a similar tool, but this one is way much easier and versatile.

I hope this adds to the topic. B)

  5. Hello... and excuse my English (oh, thanks God for the Spell Check)

I posted a topic before this one that was about the same animated short, but I decided to create a new one because the name I was using was not very appropriate.

    This is my latest Test...

    www.roundbox.net/short/falling7.avi

    Any comment is welcome:

This is the first scene I'm working on, but is one of the last on the short. (If, for any reason, you can not download the movie, go to www.roundbox.net/short and download it from there).

I'm going to start working with the poses for the facial expresions on the high res version of the models, but any suggestion on what can be improved on the test I'm posting would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

  6. Thanks for the comments!!!!...

I'm working on some of the things that have been said.

That comment about the anticipation of the first little rock is very true. It needs something so it reads better. I'll work on that.

I will keep posting tests to get you opinions, but maybe, I will create a new topic because "old_guy" is too misleading.

    Thanks

  7. wow... very nice!... very expressive with a very simple model....

    good timing and poses

by the way, where can I find that model?... I think it ss great to practice character animation. Been able to comunicate an idea with just legs is an exelent concept

  8. I think the lighting looks good, and the truck model looks pretty nice!

I agree with some of the comments that say everything look brand new, but maybe that is a style you want. If not, I would play around with the color saturation and contrast. In real life nothing is so black or so red. If you do so maybe everything will look more natural, and the skylight effect would be more apparent.

    I hope this helps

  9. Hello... (excuse my English)

This is my first post on the Forum.

I started to work on a animated short idea I have. Here is the link for one of the first tests:

    www.roundbox.net/short/old_guy3.avi

This is one of the last scenes on the short, but is the first one I have animated.

    Every comment is welcome.

    Thanks
