[Help with an online tutorial]

Thanks for the help, looks like I might be able to finish the tutorial up, i'll keep you informed of progress.

EDIT: got stuck again, I am able to move the displacement like the tutorial says in step 4, but am unable to apply the shifting effect to a grid like in step 5, and am also unable to figure out the bump map in steps 6-9

I'm attempting to create the action like it says, but I can't add the material into the action like it says to, am I missing something?

 

BTW: I'm using A:M v11.0

I'm running 10.5r, and have even attempted upgrading to 11.0g and 11.0m, but all have the same problem. after installing, I click on the icon, and after the please wait screen, an error appears that says I am using CD/DVD emulation software and to please disable the software then restart the "game" I have no clue why this is happening, seeing as how i'm not using cd/dvd emulation software, nor is A:M a "game" please help if you can.
