  1. Whoever is doing the sound on these examples is doing a great job and the music is wonderful! :)

I can tell you these is not the score I did. I suspect these are temp cuts someone did. The opening doesn't even have the 'adventurer' song.

  2. I only hope that there will be someone who can piece it all together and do the final edit, to work the music into just the right places.

I don't know who is putting the music with the animation (I thought it was Chris ?) - but whoever it is, they have been doing a terrific job so far - the sequences I've seen and heard so far with the orchestration added have been terrific, and have melded with the dialog perfectly

I do the scoring right to the edits. When I send the files to Martin they drop right in. Only level editing should be necessary. It is fun to listen to the music raw though. I did cut some of it down so it was listenable by itself

  3. I can see the Hash shop selling music cds! :D

Edit: It's great music, though from the ones I've listened to, there aren't many spaces/silences for the dialog to go. I guess it'll just be faded down for that.

That is because you are listening to it assembled as a CD to listen too. It is the audio editor's job to mix it with all the dialog, folly, etc. :)

  4. Hello all,

As most of you know I am the composer for the soundtrack. I am currently working on 02_10.

Now I need the help of the folks who did the songs that fall throughout the movie. The opening song I had

done the original piano for against the words. It was later expanded. When I scored that opening sequence

I redid the song with the orchestra and all it needs is Woot's vocals.

Please contact me directly about getting me the individual tracks (for mixing, pitch correction mastering etc).

Of course you can post here too. :)

    Thanks!

    Chris Caouette

  5. 2_07 went for music.

    Sequences 1_01, 1_03, 2_05 & 2_08 went for music.

    Sequences 1_02, 1_04, 2_05 & 2_06 went for music.

    Look at 'em go! :)

    ...APE cave...

There was a Toys-R-Us run and RC cars, airplanes, and helicopters were flying all around the house and yard.

    Slackers! :P

Livin' the dream guys and gals... livin' the dream. :)

Yep I have the sequences! I wish I had more back than I do, but it won't be long. Everything should be complete by the end of the weekend.

    Peace,

    Chris

  6. I just emailed Dylan the first version of the music for this scene. In it the castle theme and the first hint of the Tin Man's theme appear. As long as the timing hasn't changed from the low-rez version it should still match up....hint hint. :)

  7. The only thing that stood out to me as not real was the chromatic phrase on the flute towards the end. Maybe the envolope needs some more variation with some notes (particularly the top one) having more attack?

Did you mean the staccatto part towards the end? Yes I should have used the stac. sound there and will switch it. Thanks!

    Chris
