Thanks Rodney, it must be old hair because, when I opened the Wookie, the hair tools where there and working correctly,
I got the hair that I put on my new model from the hash library in the newest animation master, you would think that is the new hair, but mybe not, anyway it looks like Im on the right track

Reset eveything. still no luck with the grayed out mode buttons, Ill have to go back to the old AM software and see if that is still works like i remember it did and if is just me, Thank you guys for the the help
So I went back to the old AM software, and it works fine, no grayed out buttons, I guess time for reinstall, not sure how that works with the new down load method

Ithink it is a software problem. that little hairy rock is grayed out and dosnt do anything, also as i was messing with hair in materials, I turned the grooming toolbar on , and it stayed on, but was grayed out, as soon as i went back to the model, it diappeared again, so Its not acting like normal

The grooming mode botton is grayed out and doesnt work, the hair is visable in the modeling window, so hair is on, and the hair is turned on in the tools , render window, I have a key strock , shortcut set for the grooming but it just makes a dink noise when I hit it, like i was saying before, the toolbar comes up when i check the box in"view" "toolbars" "grooming" but goes away as soon as I close the box. I dont know its got me stumped

I want to groom hair on a model and i went to "new"- "pose"-" percentage" in the modeling window, then I go to "view"" toolbars" and check "grooming" and close. The box appears when I check the box but when I close the window it disappears. I just downloaded the new version after not working with the software for a while and am a little rusty so Im not sure what my problem is, but I didnt see any other posts about it so it might just be me, any help would be appreciated

When you vote, you enter your email address, and theoretically you should receive a reply, but I think I've only ever had a reply for one contest - usually I get an error. But when I try to vote again, it says I can only vote once, so I am assuming my votes are being counted.
Thanks darklimit and Caroline, this is the first time i have gotten to see the contest before the results was given, i must not be to intoned with the forum as i should be, i think I will even vote, what the heck, by the why caroline, Ilove your avetar, every time Isee it Ithink thats pretty cool

I posted a few days ago thati have been part of the forum for about 3 years know and that i never have seen where you vote for the image contest, only the results of the voting, in my post someone said check the new postes, for the voting, i still have not seen it, know i was just reading that the voting is almost over, where is it I dont want to vote because i have entered a image but i would like to check on the compitision, befor its decided by whoever decides

I have been on this forum since 2003, entered a few image contest pics, but i never have seen where you vote on them, only the results of the voting on the main page, you would think thier would be a link for that somwhere, i entered one this time, I don't think would be ethical to vote on Jan. cotest but i would like to check the compition or if mine made it to the page

I'm getting the same thing happening when I go on the still page, my names at the top of the page, where it says log out, so i know i am logged in.

Just lately when i go to the AM still page it wants me to login every minute or so even though it has my name on the top of the page as login aready

Just wondering what happened to the animation contest, and is there a new topic for the stills contest, i completly missed the christmas contest, and i was working on a good one anyway

sometimes i would like to render amovie in the shaded mode, because it doen't need to be that detailed, i am just trying to get an idea across and don't need hair or fire, but it has the pink camera frame in it, is there a why to do it to get rid of the frame

i am running 11.1v in animation master and the choreography actions are not working in the choreography window, if i drag and drop a premade action to the model from the librarey, like the cancan it works fine. but when i go to skeliton mode , advance the timeline slider, and move something, it make a action movement, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it dosn't help. i was hoping someone could help Thanks

i have tried to make locks of hair from the tutorial in help refrence many times, and have been unable to get any hair visable on a spline yet, i have tried it in aseprate window and with a simple model just to see if the hair is visable by toggeling off and on , it there but not on the spline. i follow the tutorial to the letter and don' t have any luck, i need some luck or some more knowlege to finish my of brad pitt from the movie "Troy"

when i groom the hair and get itwhere i want it , ill save it and the next time i open it i have to regoom so fare every time, is ther a different way to save it so i dont have to do this. also some times ill get the hair the right color and save it it will turn blonder when i reopen it, i know that one could be many thing , but that first question im relly stumped , any suggestions would be great thanks

i have been having problems in rendering to see whats up with the scene, and when i do it turns light blue fog that you can barely see anything, also when i run the scenes with the slider, theres ghost images left behind, even when i try lip sync, i can see the jaw go down,but the ghost images stay so the lips don't look like they moved apart. a little frustrating. i have had the program for a year or more and haven't had the problem before, but i did accidently upgraded to 11.0, and discovered it was only a test copy for a month or so , but know I'm starting to babel. help would be appreciated

i,ve been trying to lip sync by hand ,positioning the sliders in the lip sync properties area, and then i started to read the littke book that came with the disc, it said i could use the computer to do most of the work, but when i try the tutorial,it says it can't find thr dictionary, or the index file, and it tries to create it but it can't find it or niether can i,i would appresheate any help

i have had a few crashes wile rendering to avi file, and the file is there with 2 mb. infomation in the file, but it reads thats it corupted, is ther a software program that can read them, even fram by frame would be ok , just so i could save some render time
