I'm looking to get a new computer for x-mas. So my first question which computer system would work best to make animations on using Animation Master a Mac G5 or a Dell Alienware (dell acquired Alienware)? Also I really wanted to participate in the production of TWO but my old computer was just way to slow. So for my second question what is the best system setup? Inother words which processors i.e. AMD chips or Pentium, dual or quad microprocessors and what is the best bus speed.

Huh? Render to file produces all those formats including video. You just have to specify which.

I created a company logo using AM and would like to export it so that I can import my model into Digital Image Pro so that I can work with there gradient tools. Is there a plug-in out there that I can use to export an AM model into a picture format such as .png, .jpg, .bmp? Or for another imaging program such as AI? As of right now I have been using screen print platinum to take a screen shot of my images. If AM can import files from other programs such as AI, should we be able to export the models as an AI file also.

That's easy to fix: on frame 00:02:00, I believe is the end of the phrase, move his arm back where you want it. And that'll solve the problem. What you learn from this is that the computer needs to know not only when you move the arm up, but also how long you want it to stay there and when you want the arm to come down.

help!!!
i'm trying to drop keekat's hand after he says I've got a secret. then his hand is supposed to drop. but....
as he is talking the hand is starting to drop.
i have tried many time to fix this but i keep running into the same problem.
please advise
attached you will find 2 projects zipped. saythat5 and saythat3. saythat5 has all the movements i want but after 5 hours of rendering i can see where my my mistakes are. so i mad saythat3 and you will see that my hand is still moving when it shouldn't.

Hey Rodney,
After hours of trying to figure out why i couldn't use the past mirrored command, i found that something in my user profile (i am using w2k) got corrupted. exactly what beats me. i ran spy sweeper and it didn't find anything. so i'm going to backup my work and rebuild the computer from scratch.
how did i find it was related to my user profile? i created a new user and the program worked just fine.

Remarks/Suggestions for Improvement: I had a problem with the eyes. When I took the constraints off the eyes and moved them when he walked his eyes reminded me of those stuffed animals that had eyes that moved.
Do you have any suggestions on how to make the eye movement look more real?
For now I am submitting the one I left the constraints for the eyes on, because I didn't like the way the other one came out.

Is there any change the 'Animate Mode' icon is toggled off?
Its the one with the capital A on it.
The Animtaion mode is activeated.
I also tried it when it was deactivated.
do you have webex? i would let you gain access to my computer so you can see what the problem is.
It works just fine in version 11.0f but in 12.0d, 12.0f, and 12.06 I have the same exact problem.

HELP!!!
possible bug in version 12.
It seems as though my past-mirrored command is not working.
I have followed the steps.
Go to frame 0
Select edit copy keyframe
Go to frame 20
Select edit past mirrored
And you can tell the past did not take effect because his feet did not move when I selected past mirrored.
So I installed the latest update 12.0h restarted my computer and I’m still having the same problem.
I went to an older install version 11.01f and my past mirrored command works just fine.
Any suggestion?

Remarks/Suggestions for Improvement: I have been using AM since 1997 and really appreciate how well this program works and how fast you guys fix problems when the occur. When I read the forum articles the other day I was excited to hear that you would like everybody to participate in TWO. I think this is a great motivator for people to learn how to use this wonderful tool that you have created and I believe you will see more people enter into both image and animation contest. I also like the fact that you provide a certificate upon completing TAOA:M. I look forward to completing all the exercises and getting my certificate (which I will frame).

so what processes being used when we do a final render? i am currently a PC user W2k and when i create a final render i can hit CTRL+ALT+DEL and its all processor, using very little RAM. this is why i was thinking my next computer might be a MAC since movie makers such as Lucas Studio and Spielberg Studio's use G5's maybe making animations uses as much processing as digital movie editing software such as AVID. i figured Alienware is set for optimal speed since real time rendering and speed make the gaming experience. So are the PC users going into the bios and change the Clocking speed? or turning off IRQ's? Windows has so many process that are running, do you shut them off?
