You can import it through the image folder in the pw's image animation/sequance .not sure it will import that formatt but will import qt.movie avi and the best is tga sequance .Once you have it in then make a new layer (under objects or roto) and show it the movie ,drag that into your chorie as you would a model .phew my hand aches lol

  2. Hi all

I want to add an animation in the film ie. like the film Rogger Rabbit.

I have no idea how to make a scenary or back drop let alone use video footage.

Many Thanks for any and all help.

  3. Hi Jeff -

I really liked the concept of your animation. It definitely made me laugh. As you continue to learn the program and continue to gain an understanding of animation, you will be able to take this even further.

Regarding rendering times - if you are looking to just get an idea if your animation is working, you can render it out in Shaded mode and not Final mode. This will render MUCH faster as it doesn't take into account shadows, reflections, etc. This will help you to quickly see if an animation needs tweaking before final rendering.

Also, as stated above, if you are rendering a long sequence or series of sequences, you can break them up. Render them in bits at a time. The animation doesn't have to be rendered all at once.

Great job! I look forward to seeing more.

    Hi Michael

Thanks for your kind comments I am very new to all this and I'm loving every minute.

  4. As for the size of the video file...you should be able to get that down to a few MB using compression.

    Hope that helps.

I'm having trouble uploading my fill i Have compressed the fill but it still will not upload to this forum.

Hi sorry to ask probably a silly question. But I have just finished a short film that is about 1minute long and it took 22hours to render is this normal or could it have anything to do with that fact I used an extra light and so created two lots of shadows. I'm using a MacBook with AM v15.

Any help or advise will be great thanks.

  7. Hi all

    Sorry, very newbie question here.

I am trying to make a short film with two different camera shots, but I'm having trouble. Can anyone tell me how to get two cameras to work and how to render them at different points of the film. I would like to have the first camera slowly zoom in one my actor then change to the next camera that is in a different place and continue the shot. Then may be go back to the first camera again.

Hope this all makes scene to someone.

Thanks for any help from anyone, if you could be as simple as passable because I'm not that up on tect talk.

    Thanks again

    Jeff

  8. Hi all

Im Jeff, I live in London UK, I've just downloaded A:M on my MacBook and having fun looking around. I'm very new to all this and I have no experience at all in animation. So this is really hard to get my head around but I'm getting there, lol

I would love to know if there is anyone in the UK (London) that could show me how to do things as i find it a bit hard to use the downloaded manual and video tutorials and then try to remember what to do when i open the A:M program.

Anyway I'm trying and my results are ok so far and I'm having fun.

    Cheers

    Jeff
