[exercise 11 giraffe]

Hello,

 

I have a student who drew his giraffe but when he went to apply the decal it came out really weird.

 

 

 

Any ideas what we are doing wrong?

We are trying to open the door for Shaggy to walk through later but it starts opening at the first keyframe.

[Libraries not always showing]

We checked the libraries and it did not include the D drive (our CD ROM drive) - so I added it. It said changes would not take affect until we restarted the program, so we did and still no libraries. When I went back to check the libraries the d drive was gone again. When I added it, it was listed, we restarted the program to have it take effect and it was gone again????

are the proper folders chosen for the libraries ?

 

How would I check that, I installed everything to the default settings.

Okay, so I am in a school setting. Student A logs on and has all libraries, Student B logs on and does not have any libraries, Student C logs on and doesn't have any libraries either, I as administrator log on and have all libraries. Why doesn't Student B or Student C have libraries?

have other (smaller) decals worked?

 

It's possible your graphics card doesn't have enough memory. try rebooting to clear it up.

 

Also try switching OpenGL<-->DirectX in your preferences and restart.

 

 

The Switching to Direct X worked and I didn't have to restart

When we bring in the decal, it shows up as a white box rather than an image. I am using it in a school setting with multiple users if that makes any difference.
