Model to Cricut template, has anyone tried it?

A long time ago, I used A:M for titling and some minor add-ons to video projects.  I have a multi-media idea and think I can use the cricut for making a mold.  I am talking 5-10mm in size.  With the text to object feature, I can do personalized things.  It is a challenge.  I want cricut instead of a 3d printer because I can use a soluble mold.  I do gemstone composites and have an idea.  Sorry, no like to an example as FB url or non-https are not allowed.

CriCut takes .jpg, .gif, .png, .bmp, .svg, or .dxf.  I am pretty sure it will work.  I was just wondering.

Oh, and figured out that my ISP automatically allows https, so here is a picture of a composite.  I am now doing layers and my latest represents the US flag.

  Very simple one.Rainbow1.JPG

If a 2D image file like JPG or PNG will work... how about rendering out cross sections of your model?

A:M can export a DXF but there seems to be some difference between a DXF that defines 3D shapes and a DXF that makes 2D images for a vector program and I did not have success importing an A:M DXF into a program like Adobe Illustrator.

Welcome back to A:M!
