This is the one surviving image of a lost 1917 German silent film, "DerTodesstern"... "The Death Star" There is only this synopsis [spoiler alert]: " Assistant wants the glory for himself. The telescope kills the professor, later it kills him also. " Other interesting factoids: Police in Munich declared that it "may not be announced as a detective film" It also seems to have been rated "jungenverbot" (banned for minors) for all of Germany.
