Crash when trying to render...

Recommended Posts

Can someone please confirm that it's not just my computer crashing whenever this project is rendered? It crashes after about 15 seconds when rendering.

My specs:

iMac Late 2014 Retina 5K w/ i7

Thanks,

-Nathan

Can you render to a targa sequence?

Targara sequence does the same thing. I also tried rendering it with "preview" and it did more frames but still crashed.

The PRJ doesn't seem to have the ocean.mat or grid.mdl embedded.

I don't know if those are issues or not.

Ooops, I am not using ocean.mat. Anyway, I removed the reference in the project and tried to render again with the same results.

Yes same here with v18L, 15 seconds in and down she goes with no frames rendered.
Project will render in v17g if you have that and don't need any features found only in v18L. It may also work in earlier versions of v18 but I've not tried them.

Can someone give me a link or a location on where I can download AM17? Also will my 18 license work with 17, I'm using the year subscription?

Thank,

-Nathan

Yes, not a problem.

Your license will work fine in any subscription version.

You can download v17g+ from here: https://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=45638&do=findComment&comment=391318

(this is the earliest A:M version I think that can work with Mavericks and Yosemite)

In your current v18 Animation Master folder locate this file; master0.lic and copy it.
After installing v17g, past the copied master0.lic file into the new v17 Animation Master folder.
Now start v17.
And you should be good to go now.

Other earlier versions of v18 can be found in the Latest Info page but as I said in my previous post I've not tried them with your project but it may well work in one of them too. https://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showforum=2

Sorry about that!
Never occurred to me that those would not link to the files they say they do.
@Jason can that be fixed?

Just tried Roberts link and that works. There's nothing to say if it's version 17g+ or not but hopefully it is!

Good luck!

No it should not be fixed... it is important that these links will always link to the newest files since these are the once which are used all over the place in the hash store, trial request mails and so on and otherwise we would have to update all those links everytime a new version is released...

just keep in mind: older updates are placed on the ftp server and available there for everybody who wants them.

See you

Ok, thanks guys. I did get v17 to begin rendering. Should I submit a bug report for this or is it already being taken care of?

Thanks,

-Nathan

PS: If you did not signup for A:M Reports before, you may need to do that first, since your forum account will not work automatically.
