Path Deform 2

Recommended Posts

I wrote to support this idea is implemented correctly in the AM Additional bones into distortion box not respond to path constrain when the project is saved. Project attached Point to bone1 in distortionbox - it work! - But keep working project impossible

robcat2075 - Yes, I remember these your experiments. Engaged in similar :) I'm trying to achieve a more flexible and dynamic manipulation of the Distortion Box for example: - Deformation by an animated path

I think i see what you are trying to do.

There are some constraints to make the bones follow the path and they have the PATH as the target but they don't do it.

Have you tried doing this in a chor?

Yes, the problem is that they don't survive a save and reload.

If it works before the save it should work after the save so I think you should report that a a bug

Hey Serg...

If I load your PRJ,

then create a new Chor

then drop "Empty MODEL" into the chor

then drop the PD Action on the model

the distortion box will follow the path and this will survive a save and reload

PATH_DEFORM6_RCH.prj

I got a crash when i tried to constrain the Thom model to the box but I would need to repeat that some more.

Hello. I also tried deformation of distortion box using pass. When saved, the target is reset.

Is this bug fixed?

Please fix this bug. For example, it is effective for the appearance of a spirit of a lamp of Aladdin.

Thank you.

I am not totally sure but as far as I interpret it from the info from serg in that bug report, it has been solved with v16 or v17:

Into v16 it work (project attached)

P.S.
!!!!! Creat same similar project in v16-15 works in v17

Thank you.

Did it still happen for you?

See you

Thank you Fuchur for your reply.

I've assembled an action that uses pass move and distortion box together. For the study of insect movement.

However, if you move your bone in the distortion box and move it, the target of the constraint becomes invalid at the timing of save or some internal processing.

This was working until saving.

The version I use is 18.0P AVX.

I think of another way.

However, it is desirable to be modified.

Perhaps it will be nice for those who move the title logo.

Thank you.

This topic will be moving to the 'A:M Reports' forum shortly.

Serg,

I see your report in v17 (#6343) but it might be best to add a report in v19 that points to that report.

That way Steffen can find the old report, acknowledge it and bring the issue forward.

I have added this to the v19 Reports.

It is report #6789 and points to this topic.

The primary issue at hand appears to be that the setup of Distortion Boxes with Bones works but the setup is not maintained when the project is saved.
