Perfect Beveled cube with dense mesh

It occurs to me that an alternate approach is, after deleting the edge splines, select the 6 splines that now border the rounded edge and slightly shrink them. This would be the opposite of adjusting the side interiors and can be done in one step rather than six.

the three-pointers on the corners need a separate adjustment, another slight shrinking.

1.) Go to the Libraries and get the Primitive you want by double-clicking on it. (v17c and above should have primitives in the library again)

2.) Go to the modelling-window and use the CutPlane-Plugin several times... it is a little work, but it is much less than extruding it yourself.

You may need to rework some of the edges, but all in all it worked well for me.

See you

No luck guys

I just cant get the high dollar look.

The edges look like poop.

A hard edge is not an option? that often looks more clean than rounded edges.

(and of course you need to use a good material to judge that "high-dollar-look"-stuff.

See you

This may not be as dense as you're after, but I think it works in general.

Hope that helps, Jason.

Thank you so much

Any chance you can make a vid tutorial on how you created this? I think it would help the community.

I've got a couple of tutorials planned...I'll add one on this as well while I'm at it.
