lbruno
hi all, I have a bone that is a parent to several other bones. I want to be able to scale the parent bone without the child-bones scaling. I want them only to translate (expand). Is there a way to "lock" the scaling of bones? Do I need to make an expression or is there some constraint to do the job? This is for my face-setup. I want my lip-control bones to not scale so that the lips always stay the same thicknes when I scale my mouth bone (the parent). thanks. However you could do it with a workaround: Use an additional null-object (for instance). If you constraint that to the bone using only a Translate-to-Constraint, drop the bones you dont want to scale on it (to create a hierachical order below the null-object, not the root-bone) the problem should be solveable. See the example-project attached to this post. (you can add constraint in a pose too, if you want it to stay with the model for other chors too, etc.) See you *Fuchur* rigging_scale_problem.prj
