Positioning bones

Recommended Posts

When I try to line up a bone (especially the tip) it jumps several degrees. I don't remember this happening before (maybe I just forgot). I have the rotate snap setting set to 1 but to no avail. It may just be cosmetic but it bothers me that I can't rotate the tip (horizontally or vertically) to where I want it.

Yes, I am using a MacPro. I saw the title of this one but thought it was something else.

And I presume you're talking about when you are in Bones mode where you are placing the bones in a model.

Just to try... do Help>Reset Settings.

This will send A:M back to it's default state when it was installed.

No joy.

And I am now (for several days (or weeks it seems) that selecting CPs, splines, bones, etc with cursor have become very difficult. Click on something and it doesn't stick. Click and hold to draw a selection box and it quits. After a selection, before I can do anything (resize, translate, rotate) I have to wait until the cursor help appears.

Am I the only one having this issue? Should I post this as a new question?

It worked before. It doesn't work now. What changed?

You're using the exact same version of A:M as before, when everything worked?

I am somewhat confused between 16Beta, 16rc01 and 16v 01. So I am not sure which one but I will assume that it is the latest release candidate.

It probably says "RC" on the splash screen?

Steffen has gotten this bug report and is looking at it.

But you can also have v15 installed to compare.

Upto RC2 the mac version doesn't have a splash screen ...

But if anyone can remember , in which beta this has worked at last , it would be very helpfull .

Otherwise I must rollback version back to previous version, compile , test and so one (very, very time intensive ... :-()

(V15 works ...)

RC2 isn't official out yet but of course Steffen can say what will be in the next version.

See you

Yoda64 - I am not positive the issue is in A:M because I am using a Wacom Intous graphic tablet and mouse. I should probably try just the plain old "vanilla" mouse that Apple provided me with first before posing an issue.
