Hand Rig

Recommended Posts

I have installed the 2001 rig in a model, courtesy of the tutorial in TAO.

However, when it comes to installing the hand rig that controls the fingers, The tutorial stops.

I understand that the rig for the hand controls the fingers curling and so on ?

Is there a tutorial or info somewhere that can explain how to install those controls as I would like to have the figure play the guitar ?

Thank you in advance.

regards

Yesterday I created a video tut on building a simple hand gizmo but the file size is huge. I'll try to get it chopped up and compressed tonight and upload it to A:M Films.

Thank you very much for your reply. I look forward to that.

I must also say thank you in advance for all the tutorials you uploaded into that section. I'm going to be busy in the days ahead !.

For the current question, I was wondering if there were any notes or guidance on applying the 2001 rigs hands ? They are obviously elaborate but the 'backbone' tut in the manual doen't explain how to set up the hands as it uses the Thom model ( no hands ) ?

Well the first part of the tutorial is 108MB compressed, and A:M films has a 100MB limit, so I could not upload to there. But I have them up on my web host so you can download them from there. There are two parts. Be sure to grab both of them.

The tutorials are in flv format. If you do not have something that can play flv movies, you can download VLC Media Player for free.

Most EXCELLENT. Thanks, Thanks, thanks.

IMO, it works out better having these tuts available for download. I find that I do not get smooth streaming from the A:M Films site, and it's not possible to jump ahead, and resume, in the event of wanting to rewatch.
