Basics of making a new Pose

Thank you so much. Watching this felt like watching a long lost TAOAM chapter video. Poses didn't really get too much attention in the book. I never knew I could use rotate like that on the bones! Seems so trivial but some how I just never picked that up. I used this video to fix my 2001 skeleton rig's default hand clench poses and finished a superman body pose.

That's interesting about the draggable pose... I did not know that. Thanks for the enlightenment!

I think its greatest use may be for quickly blocking in mouth poses for dialog, something that typically involves a number of bones or controls that , for polishing and nuance, need to be not locked to each other as a pose slider control does.

There's a $200 add-on for Maya that has the same functionality.

think of the ragged mass of criss-crossing lines that is Eugene's hand in a close-up,

turning, trying to pinpoint the right roll handle then turning again to control the curl.

all the while i could've selected the finger in PWS, hit r and used the blue ring...
