Bluejean baby...

Thanks for the kind comments everyone!

Paul, Cost? I don't know about that. Available? We'll see.

Kevin, yes, she had hair before but I had to remove it to work on her body mesh.

JL, Here's the closeup thread:

John Bigboote, She doesn't have as much dynamic mass (how's that for being delicate?) as your Miss Demeanor, but she could use some secondary motion for sure.

Pancho, Yves skin shader is for the PC only at the moment. Yves has given the source code to Ken to port it to the Mac, when Ken gets some free time. I did use porcelain on her.

trajcedrv, Thanks! I only use what talent I was given. There's no pride in receiving and using a gift.

That's Stephen's great animation. I did do one version for the CGTalk 8th Dwarf contest, which you can see here:

Anyway, I did a test with a bvh file on my new femal character and here's what I got.

Thanks,

Jim

Nice job as usual Jim. You are da man!

So, where do you get the bvh files from?

Hi Greg,

You can get some here:

http://www.bvhfiles.com/

The ballet file I think I got here:

http://www.e-motek.com/entertainment/downloads/index.html

I chose the biovision bvh example file. ( The fourth one down.)

There's not a great selection, though.

I would love to see your ballet dancer but unfortunately it's in a format that crashes my machine. Sorenson3, I'm guessing. Is there any chance that you could render a version in MPG1/2, AVI, WMV, DivX, etc... ? :)

If not don't worry. I'll find some way to get my machines to view this format without jeapordising security or crashing.

Thanks

Thanks for the links Jim. I'll have to try some out just for fun.

Thank you so much for that!

She is beautiful and the rig holds up pretty well. A couple of glitches on the ankles and the left knee but with the extremes that the feet in particular are being pushed to by the real dancer it's going to create rigging problems for any model.

I think that the white background gives this a wonderful quality. Each frame is like a beautiful study of human anatomy in motion. It is as if I have opened your sketchbook and the paintngs have come to life. :)

It's a bit difficult to be sure at this resolution but it looks as if you have animated over the top of the BVH motion to add eyelid motion. Did you do much tweaking elsewhere?

Stunning example of BVH motion on a beautiful model. I'm sure I knew her a long time ago. :)

What a beautiful model and outstanding BVH motion example. I'm always so astounded and delighted with the wonderful talent displayed in these forums. I spend far too much time scouring the forums, but enjoying every minute of it. Thanks for sharing your gift.
