  1. Hey everyone! I've been searching the forums for tutorials on rigging a quadraped like canines and felines, beasts of labour etc., but not necessarily long neck animals like giraffes or brontosauruses Didn't come up with any results except for discussions on a few areas of quadraped rigs Has there been any tutorials made on the subject?
  2. Spent hours setting up constraints finger joints, all was working well. Came back later, opened the project and boom. Most of the constraints had vanished. For some reason a few remained (see attached) but they were "broken" and had question mark on them. This was made with new pose on/off when I started and everything seemed to be working. I did notice as I was doing this that AM was creating an Action file and all was going into that but after closing the window and returning to the project all constraints but a few had turned to vapor. I also saved constantly while I was working on this. Again I've stumbled into a Moron Mode somehow and cant get out. Any help appreciated.
  3. Hello, This is Rusty, an ancient AM (circa 2002-2009) user looking to get back into it again. Try to bare with my clumsy questions...its been a long time. First I need to finish the character models and wardrobes that I've already put thousands of hours into. My characters are just heads...everything below the neck is wardrobe (I connect head to wardrobe in the chor or an action depending)... TMS2 Question... Can someone remind me of what the status is of what use to be called the Anzovin TMS2 rig (I think that's what it was called)? If memory serves originally it was a couple of plug-ins you purchased from Anzovin then I think at some point it came packaged with AM...then, I think it stopped working with AM and you had to have an older version of AM (which one I can't remember) to install this rig though after that it could be used in the current AM version. This is the rig I had the most luck with. If there is a link to how to use it with the current version of AM that'd be nice. Other rig (2008?) There was also another rigging system being developed...it was more advanced and, at that time I never got to actually use it as new versions were coming out too fast but it was cool. Anyway, how's that project doing (or a link to current documentation on it)? Head Rig Any current info or links on this? This rig had a control superset which surrounded the face...you could hide the controls, use single controls for right and left or separate controls for each side. Cheers, Rusty
  4. I am posting this because it might be of interest to some users. I have been helped so much over the years by these expert forum comments that I feel I need to give something back. I don't use AM frequently (not my day job and all that) but when I do I go to town. This is basically about my efforts in creating a character with a highly detailed face but with minimal effort. The word lazy might jump to mind but I prefer the "work smart not hard" adage. I tried 2 workflows: ZBrush and Crazytalk back to AM vs. Zbrush through to IClone. The idea was to discover which produced the best output and which gave me the least work to do. A very interesting road so far but a mile of R&D. Just like what everyone else on this forum has to do. See the images here. First the SAGE done with CrazyTalk and AM Next the result in iClone (less attractive I think) I have documented a PDF article about this journey. The link is below. It contains comparative animations embedded in the PDF between AM and iClone (.WMF video format). The videos won't play straight in my web browser. You have to DOWNLOAD the document and open it in a modern PDF viewer. I used Acrobat Reader DC (free) and it plays after I OK the trust settings.
