Message I see you got it uploaded how did you get it to work?

I notice people having opening and closing credits and there logo on video's while playing. So if I create .mov files what programs can open them be able to add these types of things and save them a .mov format?

Please let me know how the upload works out. I am currently finalizing my first 30 sec. animation after completing The Art of Animation:Master with Rodney. I put AM aside for about 9 months to do some renovations and now I am getting back into it. My work is no where near as nice as yours and I am using supplied characters and sets. I am proud of what I have created for my experience level but want to improve. I plan to continue my studies with the boot camp after this aniamtion is complete. I wonder if hash would post my animation it can be used to demonstrate what people can do after a very short time learning AM and with those video tut. how fast I was able to get back what I did 9 months ago. I guess I have nothing to lose by uploading it

Looks great

Try to get his hips moving, that would do a lot of difference! Nice hand movement.
Done and it makes a big difference thanks

I am really liking this program even after being away from it for about 6 months I am finding it alot easier to get back into. THe video tutorials help alot just skimming through them. I do believe the project is going to be larger than I should have really tried to do with my limited experience but so far so good. I would like to do the boot camp tutorials after this project

I am working on a project for my squadron a little morale buster from the Co. It needs alot more to get this better and I have been away from AM for too long.
-
Very nice Dalemation I like it
-
Mark ..where do you find the "Cooper tutorial"?
Thanks
-
I am like the tutorial but seeing I am creating a different looking character I am taking alot of liberty on how I do this. I am willing to learn from my mistakes and I am open to crits of this model I am not happy with how I have done the chicks I just found myself stuck and saw a 5 point patch and used it for now. I also do not know what exactly is a hook? Is it just a spline the ends like I have at the top of the nose? If not is there a command for creating one and what are there applications.
Here are the wire frames sorry this took so long I have been busy with renovations.

Mark,
You are always welcome to hang out here... ESPECIALLY when you post related projects like you just did.
Those are just the type of extensions to TAOA:M that we are looking for.
Thanks!
I'll look at your project and see what I can see...
I posted in WIP thought I would give you a link to my next tut.

Trying to create my first character from a sketch a friend made for me.

I am using Cooper tutorial and have started my first non AOAM model of a sargent character I want to animate. I am not sure what I am doing and I am just going for it and well learn from my misstakes I guess. This is what I have so far.

Ok I am having problems posting here after a hit add reply the sever times out this has got to be the most unrealable forum I have ever used
3rd attempt
shaggy thumb looks fine from my end
I fixed up the animation with your suggestions and they work thanks. I added a head movement in the middle I though I would have shaggy look at the camera but the timing is way off I might just remove that motion.
http://home.cogeco.ca/%7Erobinallan/Movies/shaggylamp2.mov
I fixed lamp drifting and shaggy's hand going through table and lamp going through both tables.
-
I will look closer put I downloaded the fixed ver. of shaggy? I did not notice the thumb on my end but I will look closer after work. Thanks I will follow your advice and fix it up.
-
Sorry I had one question if you look closely at the bigginning the lamps moves around a little. I went into time line and set the curves to zero slop for the lamp short cut up until shaggy picks the lamp up this reduced the movement alot but there is still a slight movemeny. I notice in the tutorial that the instructor also had a smaller movement than I have but there is still a movement for him as well. You can see the Z axis moving in the properties filed when he is showing the final work. He says to play around to see what works best but can anyone send me in the right direction to fixing this. I will try to post project file here.
-
I like this so much Rodney that even after completing AOAM I am still posting my stuff here When I feel worthy maybe I will progress over to the WIP or showcase forums But I feel I need more work before I do that.

After this I think I might try creating my owm character. I have a sketched scanned in which I made a friend made for me. I have a tutorial book marked for this so maybe you might see my progression in the WIP forum.
I have another project planned but I am waiting for some friends of mine to create some wave files for me before I can beginn that one. Then I will look into other things like the, 10 sec club, Apprentice or mentor program or the contest. Can someone tell me were they post the contest info I have been looking but have not seen it. Any info on the others would be helpfull as well.

Nice one Mark!
Have you ditched rabbit altogether for this project or is he wearing the armour???
How did you know I tried the rabbit first?? I tried the rabbit and the wave action did not work very well so I redid the exercise with the knight and it worked much better.
-
Just keeping a hand in this while I wait to start my next project. So I did the path ease exercise and this is my result.

I am in too rodmey

Mark,
If you every decide to really fine toon Exercise 6 to the point where you want to make it your own little story with a twist. That last bit where the movie stops looks like it could lead to a funny moment where he smacks into the door frame which reminds me of ZachBG's Indiana Shag hehe. For some reason your animation reminded me of Zach's even though the ending would be quite different. All that work for a lump on the head!
Regardless of where you choose to take it... nice work. With the suggestions of others here in the forum improvement in all aspects seems guaranteed.
Ok took a while to find this post Rodney! Wow talk about activity in this forum
I took your suggestion and came up with this what do you think?

For Jonathan who emailed me privately - my reply to you bounced.....
I am participating in the Animation Master Apprenticeship program NOT the Animation Mentor program. The A:M Apprentice program is a Hash community/forum initiative only.
Cheers
Can you explain more about the apprenticeship program and the Mentor programs please. I have combleted Rodney's AOAM program and I am interested in doing more. I have read posts in the fellowship forums about the Mentor program but I do not know how to sign up or if I am ready or not.

Thankyou again Rodney and of course Mark, Mike and Richard for all your advice and encouragement.
Bill
Your welcome
-
Thanks Rodney
I have upgraded and re-installed AM but now it does not work I posted my problem in AM reports I hope that's the place to report these kinda problems.
