Hey all,
it is great to get so many replies from such wonderful talents. I have emailed and/or PMed everyone of you.
If you did not receive a PM or other from me, it may have been during a network outage, but all of you should have gotten a message. Please let me know if you didn't.
Thanks again all, and especially in being such a great community of talent

Hey all,
Currently I'm working on a small indie movie, which will go directly to DVD. However I am more of an animator, director and storyteller than I am a 3d modeller and character rigger.
I'm looking for someone to help me in my endeavors. Pay is roughly 50 dollars a model. I know it is not much, but that is all I can pay as a slight insintive. I can, however also include you in the project as side partner. The current partners all work on merits. Basically whatever we make in way of money, be it 5 dollars or 2 million dollars we split based on merits.
So basically you will get your 50 dollars but then be included in the profits of the movie. I have secured the funds for a direct to dvd printing, which is good. Now I have to finish my movie.
I'm looking to have 3 Human models created, all of them stylized. I know 50 bucks is not a lot but we can possibly make other arrangements as well. This is an indie film but has potential. It would be great to work with any of you talented artists. Put some of your pictures here in this post, and PM me as well. My email is down for another day or two so I'll respond to this post and PMs. Thank you all!!!
Sincerely
Shawn

But VUE is so much easier to use and a lot more fun to get a beautiful background.
This animation on this page took all of 15 minutes to do. Can you imagine if we could combine A:M and VUE. Maybe we can ask E-ON to make a plugin from A:M to view!!! That would be pretty sweat.
Animate and create characters in A:M
Landscape in VUE!!!
HMM...??
Petition anyone?

Vue will export well as MATTE backgrounds.
It also does that thing you do in a foreground using Alpha maps, if you need something in the foreground.
So as a Matte painting and such you are cool.
You can also export some of the landscapes as 3ds and OBJ and import them into A:M as props.
Trees and mountains will export out of VUE and you can reduce the size and such for A:M to be able to handle it.
It would be nice to have these programs work together. It would be the Ultimate tool.
Animations would get done faster that is for sure.
Maybe you should email E-Onsoftware on it and see if they can develop something for this. They have developed a similiar program to act as a liason between VUE and POSER animations.
That would be great to be able to do!! Would make a perfect tool!!!
Landscapes and skies with the infinite amount of changes that can be made with VUE.
And then the animation capabilities of A:M!!! That would be a deadly match up!!!
E-ON may be able to do it considering they also made a sky plug for Cinema4d.
A:M is a great program but will not work with other programs. A:M hates other programs other than Photoshop and other 2d graphics programs.

So if I buy this new CD I won't get Version 12 for the year coming up?
Just checking
Or if you buy this one it automatically counts toward V12?
Thanks for any help.

I wish they would sell the tutorials individually as well and let you pick and choose, I only want like 2 tutorials out of that particular one, and there are a bunch others on the other ones. Bleh!!!
PIck and choose then burn em all on one, the ones you choose for 50 bucks, that would rock

You can always rotoscope animation. Film someone walking and then copy that or mimic that walk back to back within Animation Master.
The best animators all at one time have done rotoscoping to get a good animation. Practice doing that so you know how things should move and such. Study the way someone moves and mimic it. It is a great help.
Play with Clay figures and a camera, another way to get some animation chops going.

the Landscaper!! That shall be your name. You do great work as usual, there are some slight changes that could be made, some variations in the roses, but great work nonetheless.
I like the blur and focal point of your picture.
Please write us a tutorial on how you do this.
GREAT!! WORK!!

Hopefully one day we will see us Hasher's in the lime light. I just thought this was a very encouraging article.

wow that is good, how did you do that?
It would be cool for A:M to work with daz or something and make morph dials or something like they did with Lightwave.
That is awesome and almost just like that.
How did you do that?

Thanks for the replies guys. I really appreciate it.
I can't wait to get started animating in Animation Master. I'm updating to 11.0 in the next few days and ready to rumble further!!
I'll keep everyone posted. Animation tests, websites, etc. I am more and more excited about the project and doing it all in A:M
The movie will be an animation based on my character Flog. The little blue guy seen throughout the animation.
Flog was modelled by a good friend of mine, and I rigged and animated him. I hope you all will enjoy it once it comes out. I've already finished storyboards for the first scene/ala trailier of the movie, so we'll see more coming soon!!!
It will be anime based, well it will be in my drawing style. Simple cartoony, anime based, child based (my drawings suck, lol) 15 minute movie if possible.

anyone?

thanks Martin,
It is great to see you on the forum. This project of mine has been a lot of tests and learning.
I'm finally moving it all back to Animation Master with the latest. Just have to save $299 dollars up to get 11.0. I bought A:M way back in 98, it was a great program to work with and was the first program I bought. I got it from DVdirect.
Unfortunately over the years I lost my serial number. I still have the old cd on my desk looking at me, and I even run it on my machine. Still works. I was going to get hte 99 dollar upgrade but alas my old cd does not work with the new software. Fortunately my old software works by typing in all 111111s as the serial. Weird but true. I did not know if you were aware of that.
But yeah I plan on upgrading and moving entire production using my newer animation skills and differant techniques to Animation Master. I am going to record the whole progress of my film and put it on DVD!!! I already have tons of extras for my DVD which is cool!!!
Any comments from the group, especially from you will keep me going strong.

Hey all,
I wanted to post some of my old animation files, that also have the character Flog in it. PLease let me know what you think, critique please. Thanks.
Production will be moving from Zbrush, P4, Photoshop, Flash, Wings3d to full A:M and Photoshop, with some editing (tbd)
7 meg wait for download. It is a flash, have to wait for it to load
Music from Inuyasha soundtrack.
Please tell me what you think. Thanks

here here Sineater!!!
I think a problem with some films is they throw too much money at it, thinking it will make it better (ala Lucas)
But the heart of the film needs to be there, something no amount of money will be able fix. Zemekis has made some classic movies and with half the money. I don't know, it just seems that he threw money at something.
I am so happy though that us Indie animators do not need tons of money to make something beautiful. Less money but hopefully more heart.
Looking for A:M modellers
