Lamont, Welcome to the A:M Community. We are glad to have you with us. Whether modeling, animating or just experimenting I'm convinced you are going to have a fun and rewarding experience with Animation:Master. I think I remember meeting you at SIGGRAPH too. I hope I was doublechecking to make sure you got your Extra CD. Don't be a stranger. Rodney

First... great idea! I'm glad someone is taking the ball and running with it. I think multiple models combined in a choreography will serve you (and the community best. You could probably even think up a shorthand way of letting the user know what type of roadway the building set/street contained so that users could change/update models on the fly. Count me in for Baker Street.

Hi Julian, Are you rendering with Multipass turned on? I assume yes here... and if yes that might provide the answer to your question.
-
Christina, Sorry for the troubles you are experiencing. (I have no advice to offer but you should query someone at Hash Inc as I'm sure they can point you in the right direction). For what it is worth you've really added some subtlety to her walk by raising her heels. Really nice. Hang in there! Rodney

Phase I of my World Tour is now complete. Phase II begins Tomorrow. Phase II will once again take me out of online action, this time for at least two weeks. Please be patient with me. Emails may not get responses for some time so it would be best to post questions to the forum. I'll still check the forum/email where possible. Please remember to "Adopt a Newbie" Best Rodney Sandy, I brought back doggie bags but ate it all on the plane. I had forgotten how much I missed Japanese food...

Just now seeing this myself. Although I did see your earlier version on your website (I think). Awesome. That is a beautiful style. If I may be a pain and suggest that adding a lift to her heels as her feet come off the floor I think it would really make her walk smooth and give a sense of weight. (yes... I know but even in outer space) I'm not sure if your rig will allow for that. Not that I have room to critique... keep on impressing us! Rodney

Welcome to the A:M Community TallDwarf! This is a great time to come on board as a new user of Animation:Master. After SIGGRAPH each year there is usually quite a few people that have taken their first step toward animating and 3D graphics that log into the A:M Forum for the first time. To all the new users that haven't yet introduced yourselves... please do. I lurked for entirely too long before I got involved. Lurking is doing bad things to your return on investment. You are only a new user once so enjoy it while you can! Rodney

Text Bones are the same as any other kind of Bones in Animation:Master. Any tutorial on Bones will get you there. You might look under Rigging in Useful Links or check out some of the tutorials in the Tutorials Forum. Rodney

Seven, Do you still have the Wink file to post? The data that is? Seems like that might be a good way to introduce folks to the power of Wink. As soon as I get home from the world tour I plan to post a few for people to grab and play with. BTW - Did you know you can play Wink tutorials from inside A:M? I didn't until a few weeks ago. The text can run a bit small so tutorials designed for viewing in A:M should have large text to begin with or be run in another window. More on that later... Rodney

Thats a sharp looking group.

Now you tell me! Don't be a stranger. If you have the goal... go for it! We'll be here to help you along the way. So are you gonna tell us this secret untapped market thing? Be careful I could be your competion! Rodney

Do you know who this is supposed 2 be?
Rodney replied to bentothemax's topic in Work In Progress / Sweatbox
Nice Ben. He has character. -
Game on! Great to have you all with us. Rodney

No boring 3D turnarounds for Soulcage! Those look great and really convey the characters personalities. There is a reason you guys rock... you really have talent and know what you are doing. Great design, production and final execution. Saturn is lucky to have you animating their commericials. Keep the edge guys! Great stuff.

Scott, That's a pretty cool looking shark. I like him. I think the teeth will determine if he is a happy shark or if he just wants to eat us. Joseph, I don't recall seeing your shark before. Thanks for the link. That one got away from me. Rodney
-
Josh, As David suggests you are about to be one happy guy. You'll have access to both v11.1 and v12.

Impressive Mike. Looks like you mean business. Your attention to detail is going to make this one a great model. I think there is a Camo.mat material on the latest CD. I think it is there anyway. If not it can be found on one of the Eggington models that is available for download. I cannot recall which model but I think it might be the female sci fi girl. Top right on this page: http://www.eggington.net/Hash/Models/Chara...Characters.html There are some camo and green materials on some of the Eggington Vehicles as well: http://www.eggington.net/Hash/Models/Vehicles/Vehicles.html It might not be quite what you want but it might be a good starting place.

Very nice Mike! Looks spot on. I spent about 8 years guarding C130s in Japan and got to ride in more than a few. It was like a taxi to Korea for us. Good to know a fellow Hasher was one of the people keeping those things in the air. Once the red primer dries are you planning any grey or green? More importantly... are you doing this for fun or working on a secret project?
-
Very nice. Something to be proud of too. Even after watching you put a lot of the animation together here in the forum the final product is still fresh and enjoyable. Like others I think the audio really adds a lot in it's sublety. Great job.

Very short short Tarzan sequence
Rodney replied to TurboGorilla's topic in Work In Progress / Sweatbox
I've always wondered how Tarzan died. Now we know. -
Mike, When I read the topic title I immediately saw an image of a stage coach in my mind... I assumed you might be looking for such a model instead of posting images and even the actual model. My mind lept to how one would model such a thing... Then the voice... "Just open the post already!!!" Great model! I love the detail and plan to download for a closer look. Now the voice is saying, "This has got to be really useful to someone." Thanks for your generosity! Rodney

Congrats for taking the plunge Josh. I think you'll find your lurking has paid off for you. As concerns the pending questions.... Bring em on! Welcome to the A:M Community!
-
Very cute! I like him. You've got some great looking movement there. It really gives your bot character.
-
Pengy, Great to see you back in action right here in the forum. You'll have to drop hints and remind us of the storyline... it's been too long! Keep on posting!

Chad, Just a note to say thanks for these. I always enjoy seeing how people put models like these together. I'm a little familiar with Warhammer and it sounds like those of you with the interest could really have a lot of fun with modeling and animating in the world of Warhammer. Thanks again. Rodney
