Hi, I finally managed to get my model to a point where I was ready to test TSM2, but for some reason, several of the main bones are hidden (see attached screenshot below). How do I determine which ones to turn on? Is this an issue that has already been addressed on another thread? If so, just point the way In the manual I read the following: Q: What are all these extra arm and leg bones for? A: See the previous Q&A. The use of two bones per limb segment is a new feature in TSM2. When rigged, these bones will help spread out the twisting of a character's geometry in a realistic manner. However, if you don't want to use the "extra" bones -…

For the past two days I've been trying to rig this model and I've run into dead ends everywhere. I tried TSM2 first but I get all the way up to running the rigger, and it gets almost to the end, and it has an error and chases A:M away. I've redone all the steps from scratch three times, and it still crashes and burns. If anyone wants to try it, I can post the file. So I tried the 2001 rig, and that was going well, until I tried to set up constraints for the fan bones, but the arm and leg bones didn't show up in the relationship, and I couldn't get them to show. Had the A.R.M. still been up ,I would have tried building the 2001 rig from scratch from the "How it…

Forward This material may only be of interest to people who are knowledgeable about rigging and understand what the various constraints do and why they are used. But hopefully they will use this to come up with new things that are useful to the typical user. Introduction The core concept of TSM2 is that you place the bare minimum of bones in your character to define the essential joints (admittedly, quite a few in a human) and it will then look at those and use them as landmarks for placing the swarm of intermediary and control bones and various constraints that are needed for a responsive and easy to pose rig. It hides everything you don't need to see and …

Hello, I've been playing around with TSM2 and I've rigged my character using TSM rig wizard but I found out that there isn't any "Constraints" Relationships in the Relationships folder like in an example rigged model file in C:Program Files/hashv13/hxt/TSM/folder. "TSM Constraints" IS present but not "Constraints". Is this enough for me to properly animate the character? Also I can't seem to bend the cgharacter's fingers or curl the fingers properly - like trying to hold pr grab something for my character. Is there some controls that I should know that I can't find? Additionally I'm trying to find more documentation on using the TSM2 rig as ther…

It is my understanding that when TSM2 was available as a product from Anzovin Studios, it was bundled with some other information. Tutorials, I believe. Now that they have cut the cord for A:M support and made TSM2 freeware, where could a newbie download the tutorial bundle? Myron

hi @ all, i´ve tried to rig a character with tsm2 the first time, everything worked fine and i was very impressed how easy it is to install... but when i made an action to test it, my character didn´t move at all... the bones moved, but the character didn´t... (yes, i´ve assigned cps ..) only my additional bones made cps move, eyes and eyelids... i´m using v15, can it be that it only does work properly with older versions of a:m since the development was discontinued before v15??? thanks ahead....

I purchased TSM2 for A:M a couple weeks ago. I am running A:M 2007 ver. 14.c Everything seems to work great with TSM2 until I run the rigging. To eliminate the possability that my model was the cause of the error, I used Bonless Thom and rigged him. I attached a JPEG of what I see in A:M when the rigging is finished running. Any ideas what wrong? I have seen elsewhere on the forum that TSM2 is compatible with ver14 and 15. Much of the rig works but much is also missing such as the knee control. Thanks,

Hello, Just a quick question: Does the Set Up Machine 2 work on the latest version of AM? Also, does the Mac version still work on 10.4? I think this is what I need to solve my IK problems I posted earlier. Just wondering if anyone is using it, and working with a Mac. Thanks, Andy

I had to rig a character quick today and I noticed that a newly-rigged TSM character now gets "Error loading string xxxx" at the end of its relationship names. Since the character still seems to otherwise work ok and this didn't happen before, I'm guessing that A:M has changed some detail about how it reads these names in from the model file. Perhaps some termination character is not being recognized anymore or something like that. Has anyone pawed thru this situation with a text editor and found out what the cause is?

OK.... For those of you familiar w/ TSM, for some reason when I am generating my rigging w/ tsm builder, even though I don't have the wings box checked, it generates wings. I checked the other tabs and I don't have it checked there either. I guess I can just delete them, but I am not sure why its doing this and would kinda like to figure out if I am doing something wrong or if its just one of those wierd things. Maybe I should close AM and reboot??? Roger

Hey all, is there any way that I can modify a TSM2 rig's feet to behave more like the way the squetchy rig's feet do? I want the toes to be the center of gravity and for the toes to rotate independently from the foot control bone. Thanks, matthew wozniak

Ok, I'm still pretty new at AM but I have done some very basic rigging in a few different tutorials. I've been focusing on modeling the most. I'm working on a PC platform with AM 11.1. So I decided to go all out and buy the TSM2 disc with the tutorials and stuff. I installed TSM2 and it comes up as a plug in with no issues. Next I followed along on the "basics" mov tutorial. All went well and I mirrored the tutorial step for step, right up to and including hitting the "rig" button to rig everything. The tutorial guy goes on to open an action window and show how the model is now rigged by bending and posing it. I open a new action window, and the bones do nothing. I kno…

I would just like to ask the fellow AM'ers out there who are using the TSM2 rigging plug in how they like it. Is it worth the money and does it really make rigging all that much easier?
